Hi

Currently i have 240 new year 7 students admitted to SIMS with a start date of 06/09/2016 however they are coming for a 2 day visit on 11th/12th July and would like to use our catering.

The said students are not showing on the Cunninghams system, am i missing a trick in SIMS or is there something wrong with the data transfer?

Thanks

We do this every year, as long as the students in SIMS are accepted or admitted then they get pulled through to cunninghams system.

Then there is obviously an issue with our data transfer then. The catering lady is saying they need to say "Year 6" but to me its irrelevant, they are all admitted with a future date.

Did you have to modify the exporter settings to achieve this? Or any special button in SIMS?

As our Y6's are not enrolled in SIMS until the 1st Sept, we had to get them all to bring in cash for the induction days and the canteen staff had to record the number of meals they sold to them. Any shortfall between the money the Y6's brought in (which should have been £2) and what was spent was then covered by the school.

If your Y6 students only got added into SIMS mid morning, you might want to run the import task on the Cunningham server so they get pulled into Impact.

I dont think they say "year 6", i think ours show up as 0STF (same as staff) until the day when they get admitted in Sept when they then show up as Year 7.

We didnt have to modify anything. Its worked like this since day 1.

I have to say we tell them to bring in packed lunch for the induction day. Having them in the system is purely for registering their biometric data.

Cunninghams arre telling me they need to be in the system as "Accepted", "Offered" or "Applied" they were like that for weeks and nothing came through!

They wont be pulled down to the Cunningham database until the enrole date has started, I have dealt with Cunningham's in my last school and this was the case as I was in the process of sorting all the students our enrolling there finger tips with primary and secondary fingers.

This was planned in there first day of secondary school of doing this process

What you can do is ask for a member of you admin team to enrol a student in like todays date and it will test if the exporter works on a schedule task as It should be setup that way.

If the student has been accepted but still not there I do think it is the enrol day from the 1st of September when it is set, if it isn't I would look at your exported when it finds new students from sims to export it to cunninghams.

Look at your export logs and see what the issue is

It works like this for us. Cunninghams need to check their import routines to make sure its set up right.

Would any of you be able to tell me what you have set in your admission date for your new Y7 intake in Routines>>Admissions>>Admission Groups (Browse) then select your 2016/17 intake

Ours is set to the 1st September, as that is the earliest they could be on roll with us.

And your students who were "accepted" came through no issues?

You need to import them manually - I assume you run MISSync? Open that, there is an option for pre-admissions.

I will check with our IT department.

I am in email conversation with cunninghams at the moment but they saying

Within sims there is an option to have them set as future students, if they are set as this then we will not be able to pull them down

Im sure it will not pull down until your at your enrol date, if this was the case I would of known about it and told you sooner.

If there is an option please share with us

Ours moved straight into our CRB system via our MIS Link when added to the admission group with the status accepted. The join date is set to September. Ours also show as STAFF as they haven't been given a reg group yet which I imagine will change come September.

Sylvr3 how does your new intake show at the till? Are they showing in Y6 or something else? What MIS Link do you use?

Update - Our issue has been resolved, it turns out there was a duff service on the server not pushing data across and one on the catering managers system that needed restarting. The extract process worked from our MIS but it was the pushing of the "MISExport.csv" that wasn't happening, however the fact that i had admitted the students with a Sept start date didnt stop them coming across, they are now in ID Store (Cunninghams), payments are syncing with ParentPay.

They have however come across into the staff area of the software under group "0STF", the cunninghams helpdesk said this was fine and on our first day back in september the new extract will place then in Year 7

Good news its sorted buddy, its a not a straight forward system when it links in with sims. Having to stop and start services and doing exports to the cunninghams machine is a total pain.

Please can someone help me, cunninghams support is awful!!! we have had a problem for 3 days where parentpay isnt syncing with the cashless system and balances are not updating.. doesn anyone know what i can check or do to resolve it.. 50min i waiting on phone to Cunninghams this morning to be told they will call back!!! absolutely dreadful services, they knows it will be busy at the moment get some more bods in!!

Also have issue with out MLS link to it as well our library system has imported nearly 3000 records.. we only have 900 students!!

Have you checked the log file on the Cashless Server (ours is in CRBCunninghams\Impact\Log)

There should be a file with todays date (2016-09-08) with information from it's communication with your parental payment system. When we were having issues back in January, the error message was in that file and pointed to a mismatch in the user ID's

Other thing to check is that all the iDStore services are running (should be 4 of them) and that the Impact Internet Payments service has not stopped
