  1. You have done right in T6 setting the main teacher. I assume you have then sent the T6 file across with todays date? You will also have to re create the marksheet in SIMS
  2. Sylvr3 how does your new intake show at the till? Are they showing in Y6 or something else? What MIS Link do you use? Update - Our issue has been resolved, it turns out there was a duff service on the server not pushing data across and one on the catering managers system that needed restarting. The extract process worked from our MIS but it was the pushing of the "MISExport.csv" that wasn't happening, however the fact that i had admitted the students with a Sept start date didnt stop them coming across, they are now in ID Store (Cunninghams), payments are syncing with ParentPay. They have however come across into the staff area of the software under group "0STF", the cunninghams helpdesk said this was fine and on our first day back in september the new extract will place then in Year 7 Mark
  3. And your students who were "accepted" came through no issues? I will check with our IT department. I am in email conversation with cunninghams at the moment but they saying
  4. Would any of you be able to tell me what you have set in your admission date for your new Y7 intake in Routines>>Admissions>>Admission Groups (Browse) then select your 2016/17 intake
  5. Mark argument is that even when they were marked as "Accepted" it still didnt pull through
  6. Cunninghams arre telling me they need to be in the system as "Accepted", "Offered" or "Applied" they were like that for weeks and nothing came through!
  7. Then there is obviously an issue with our data transfer then. The catering lady is saying they need to say "Year 6" but to me its irrelevant, they are all admitted with a future date. Did you have to modify the exporter settings to achieve this? Or any special button in SIMS?
  8. Hi Currently i have 240 new year 7 students admitted to SIMS with a start date of 06/09/2016 however they are coming for a 2 day visit on 11th/12th July and would like to use our catering. The said students are not showing on the Cunninghams system, am i missing a trick in SIMS or is there something wrong with the data transfer? Thanks Mark
  9. ^^ Agree 100% with that! My gripe with the DFE comes when trying to marry up the GCSE APS they use as a starting point for the L3VA (6th form) and the data checking results csv file for the GCSE results from the summer. You would think APS is straightforward but i have yet to get a match!
  10. ^^ This may be entirely hearsay but I have been told they round the fine points differently to DFE
  11. ^^ Ours came in the post this afternoon, but there is nothing on the EFA site. Checked it and the numbers match to what we were expecting
  12. I will keep an eye out for our EFA funding thingy. I had noticed in the census bumf that if a student didnt get at least a C in Maths & English Language OR Literature then to recieve the funding they needed to be on a timetabled course to achieve that goal. To do this i set up a GCSE Resit Maths & GCSE Resit English qual in Course Manager, used the correct QAN and attached the teaching group to it.....time will tell if that was right M
  13. I think im right in thinking if you go to Focus>>Assessment>>Template and open the template up. Just below the notes on the template you can choose a group filter, i choose Year 10, you can also add below hat a course link When you add a course marksheet or whole year marksheet they will be limited to those conditions Mark
  14. +1 for class charts our teaching staff and pastoral staff love it
  15. I used their ULN on the Learner Record service, i only had about 30 so i just looked them up. It is their best English between their Literature & Language Those that still havent achieved a C i also added them to a resit group in SIMS Course Manager so it appeared as a learning aim so we will get funding M
  16. Hi Sanm2009, what is your current role if you have taken this on? There was a national Data Managers course that used to run but i cant for the life of me know what it was called or even if it still exists. A sound knowledge in Excel/Access with a good understanding of the life cycle of a student with respect to their assessments and what the DfE expect, KS1 >> KS2 >> KS3 >> KS4 >> KS5. The bit between the keystages is obviously your schools assessment/tracking/reporting structure Training on the assessment area of your MIS system (SIMS/Facility/Other) SISRA/GO4Schools/4Matrix 3rd party assessment analysis software Of course asking questions and reading the threads on EduGeek is by far the best learning tool you will need!!
  17. @LosOjos thank you for that. I have the fine KS2 scores from FFT for this cohort of students and side by side they match in 200 out of 213 students, those that do not are negligible. I decided to use the FFT KS2 Fine Levels and loaded into SISRA and unsuprisingly ended up with the same value of -0.34 I can now only suggest that the Attainment which FFT is using is wrong, in fact i have just re read the blurb for the Tables Checking/Progress 8 data and it is using Amended data. When will RAISE be using the amended data Mark
  18. Morning My local authority have recently sent all schools FFT Aspire documentation that calculates our schools Progress 8 measure, however it appears to be wrong. It claims at the top of the report to be "based upon unvalidated data (October 2014)", which to my knowledge is the same caveat that the DFE Progress 8 analysis tables as discussed here http://www.edugeek.net/groups/data-managers/563-progress-8-shadow-tables/ We currently use SISRA and using the raw data regarding progress 8 found here https://tableschecking.education.gov.uk/Web14/KS4Progress8Optin/FSG.User/Login.aspx both our SISRA and the DFE ReadyRecknor come out with the same value. FFT are quoting our Progress 8 as -0.41 while DFE have set it at -0.34, I know the differences are small but as you all know the implications are massive
