Love it! :D That is brilliant! :D

To anyone that is reading this that has not been to an EDIT event, it is certainly worth going and I have not meet a warmer bunch of people. :)

I'd second that. Really great bunch of people and made to feel very welcome.

Am I the last one home? Three and a half hours to drive 161 miles from Nuneaton. :censored: awful. Far too many accidents en route :(

Quite a few accidents driving back to Chorley when I left about 1130... Glad it only took me about 2 hours though... Seriously glad I wasn't going southbound today though, the M6 southbound was like a car park pretty much all the way up to J26...

Yeah, I got it back - and the pen too! I think everyone had loaded up on free Space Centre notepads and pens from Smoothwall, Kaspersky etc. :)

I thought it was their pen and paper!

The look of the poor guy behind me as the lady behind the till began to read it out and enter it in the ordering system :)

I am glad you all managed to get back ok, even with the incidents. :)

Got back safe and sound, luckily for me the traffic was always moving. First thing I did when I got back to town was was pick up my little dog and gave her a big hug and lots and lots of fussing. :)

It was good to meet you at last. It's always nice to put faces to posting names :)

Feel the same way. :) I was ecstatic to meet you all, just wish I met more of the community... but there is always BETT and EDIT 2017(?). ;)

It was brilliant talking this morning, and lovely to hear your insight on a wide range of subjects. :)

Sounds like you're hooked. You'll have to drag @Boredguy along for the next meet :D

(This is the bit where somebody else pipes up "Hey, you met me at BETT, too!" and I feel really bad lol)

Don't worry about it; the stand staff have all met some people fleetingly, or possibly at length but late in the week, at multiple BETTs and struggle to remember any of them by the end of the show.

So many faces, so many names ... "That bloke with the pony tail" covers quite a few and doesn't help at all :D

Funnily enough, yours was one of the faces and names I did remember.

Poor @timbo343 got recognised by me as an Edugeek in the hotel, but I couldn't get a name. Although I think we've had enough Yorkshire chat now for me not to forget in future :)

You're fine. You have met @witch. You have her protection now :D @Boredguy doesn't stand a chance against her ;)

Indeed so, who'd have thought you used to live 10 miles from where i am, small world :D.

I saw that it took you an age to get home due to accidents. Funny enough, i got to donny and there was a hold up going south and then got to castleford / ferrybridge (the power station) and low and behold another hold up going south. I saw a pattern forming, its all the friday south bound drivers rushng to get home lol.

Us yorkshire folk need to stick together, after all, it is gods country and the best county :D.

For those of you that did head south yesterday, you'll be pleased to know it was still blazing sunshine and temps in the 20's here in the NW when I got home

Oh :censored: off! :D

Drizzle, etc when I finally got home. Rain forecast for this afternoon. A murky 12C this morning. At least there's no flood warning for the Medway.

We have 24C full sun forecast from tomorrow. The natural order is being restored!

That's why I'm heading south (well South Wales actually) on Monday for a week.

:)

My mother's from South Wales. It's about as reliable as Lancashire for rain... fingers crossed it stays dry a bit longer for you!
