localzuk Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I hear you with BF BC2 top notch, i have owned nearly all of them. The worst was the most recent..Hardline, correct me if i'm wrong.. The only other one I played a bit of MP on was BF 2142. Very different play styles between the 2 I found. After that, I have to say it may be down to my brain but newer ones overwhelm me. Too much noise and things going on.

Battlefield 4 was a mess when it was released, the worst Battlefield launch I can remember. To be fair to them though, the game in its current state is now one of the best online shooters available, they've made so many improvements and have steadily released good content/maps since launch, including free maps. Still playing it now, got to rank 105 last night I wish they'd scrap the battlelog rubbish though for the PC gamers, having to use an internet browser to find a server to play on is madness! Luckily on consoles that isn't an issue with the in-game server browser.

I agree, BF4 is now a great online game to play..as Localzuk mentioned it's busy too much going on, it gave me major headaches if playing longer than a couple of hours..?

Really? I've never had that personally, I play it for extended periods of time regularly always on Conquest Large
TwistedHelixis Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Recently started playing Rainbow 6 siege and love it. Would be great if bf could capture the tension element or perhaps have a game mode with similar gameplay.
BassTech Posted July 8, 2016 Author Posted July 8, 2016 There's a good video on YouTube detailing how the destruction works in Battlefield 1: It looks more like Bad Company level destruction, which is fantastic to see again, looks ace!
davith Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Battlefield 5 would go back to WW2 setting, and the name would be Battlefield 5 Eastern Front. This release date of the game would be approximately in Winter 2016.

edutech4schools Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Just played the beta and I am not happy. To me it feels like a cross between Hardline and Battlefront and I hate both those versions.
Clevertouch_Rob Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Missed out on the beta key, gutted. open Beta starts tomorrow for all.
RobD Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 I hadn't realized that, that's awesome. On my birthday too!
edutech4schools Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Just had a really enjoyable round on BF1 although its no BFBC2 or even BF2.
NokiX Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 It's good however I'm having some weird performance problems, seems to sit fine at 60fps however although the weather doesn't really affect my fps it seems to kill it afterwards and I was struggling to get above 30 fps at one point. Assuming it's caused because of a bug but frustrating when it plays fine until a weather event ends.

Check your resolution scale settings https://www.vg247.com/2016/08/31/battlefield-1-beta-resolution-scale-bug-causes-performance-drops-heres-how-to-fix-it/ It's not as clear as people first thought apparently.
edutech4schools Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Anyone else been playing the beta? Do you like it?
RobD Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I quite like it, game play and look and feel is great but I'm not fused on the oldy worldy theme.
Spl1t Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I've been playing it since the release and I really like it. A lot of the automatic rifles need balancing to put them in line with the damage that the sniper rifles do. I would have liked to have seen an additional map but I am very much enjoying the desert map with the sandstorms! The beta has been very enjoyable so far but I hope they improve the queue system because when the servers were down a lot of the popular servers had massive waiting times and whilst queuing you're not able to refresh the server browser window without leaving the queue. Personally speaking I feel you should be able to queue for a server and check the browser just in case you find a server / game type / slots free etc that suits your requirements.
BassTech Posted September 9, 2016 Author Posted September 9, 2016 Been playing and my first impressions where "what have they done!!?" But after a few hours I really started to get into it, I really like the melee mechanics, it's so satisfying jamming a pickaxe into some's head haha. Some of the vehicles & weapons need balancing, but that's what a BETA's for! The map wasn't brilliant, but I'm looking forward to the full game & playing in the European countries. It's nice to have the British army in it, instead of the stereotypical American TANGO DOWN! BOO-YAH! stuff, it's got more character. Not a huge fan of the announcer voice, I hope they change that, sounds like someone reading out airport departures at the moment. All in all I'm pleased and the BETA left me wanting more, roll on October!
ellsandell Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I really enjoyed it! It did feel more battlefronty but I don't think that it a bad thing. As above the melee mechanics were excellent and was lovely to have more rifles in the game. Medic class could do some work - didn't feel the alerts when people had died were noticeable enough. Think I might pick it up near launch now.
GTX Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Personally i think they used the wrong map. I would of like to test the same map as alpha.
