Same here. Is the search linked to TapaTalk and that's why it didn't work because of a bug their end?

I have just installed the newest iOS beta.

 

I did it the same as last tome:

Installed the non beta app and logged in

Installed via TestFlight

App immediately crashed, but opened successfully on second attempt

Turned off image preview

Used search successfully to find this thread

 

My fingers are crossed

OK, I've just installed the new beta and these are the steps and observations so far:

 

I deleted the beta app. Installed the new beta app from TestFlight and I haven't even signed into it and it's telling me I've got two notifications.

 

I signed in and went to notifications and it's empty.

 

IF I turn off badge notifications in iOS settings, or turn off notifications just for EduGeek the badge goes away as expected. Turn it back on and boom, 2 notifications.

 

I've tested out search and that seems to be working in this build.

 

I have seen some minor text distortion when switching between the app and the home screen and, there is still a bug with the app not immediately showing unread threads without pulling down within the app to do a refresh of the page. (It shows everything as being read, which it isn't).

 

If I find anything else I'll let you know.

Thanks. I'm now down to one app notification badge and it's your message to me, but even after I've read your message and marked the notification in the app as read the app badge is still a big fat red 1!

Anyone else getting the wrong avatars sometimes? Happens in both the thread list and on threads. Scrolling so the avatar goes off screen then scrolling back sorts it. No biggie but an error.

Not seen that myself, but will keep an eye out for it to see if I can replicate it. Do you have the notification bug by any chance?

I am just waiting for a new build with a possible notification fix. Should hopefully arrive in the next few hours then I will submit it to Apple for you all to test.

I've just upgraded from TestFlight without uninstalling, and after cancelling any notifications in the app, it looks the notification bug is fixed. Yippee!

Got a PM notification on the lock screen when I woke, but no sign of any badges when I start using the phone and nothing in the phone's notification list.

 

Less annoying but still not working properly

There are 4 'red blob' notifications in the sub menu. None in the badge. Nothing in the phone notifications

Yes. I whatsapped you the image of my notifications in the app (sensitive data!)

I have just reinstalled so often my notification list has been cleared several times and is currently full of threads and missing a pm one to check. I will report it for fixing but I think we will still go forward with this build for now.

So if anyone would like to contribute to changes they prefer over the old version it would help me build the update notification text. What do you prefer over the current live version?

I got a slight problem where I tap on a topic and the app just hangs.

 

I have to force quit and reload.
