elsiegee40 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Decided to shortcut the process with this morning's update. I uninstalled and reinstalled from testflight as I always seem to have to do it anyway. Slightly annoying having to log back in and then turn off image preview again, but at least it's been done straight off!
ZeroHour Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 Another RC is on the way in the next day or so. If you find any issues with it please post them here asap as we may release this build to public. Thanks all for your help testing the app so far.
elsiegee40 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) @ZeroHour why does the beta app want to know my location? (I uninstalled/reinstalled it as update via TestPilot seems to have had mixed results in the past) I denied it. Edited September 7, 2016 by elsiegee40
ZeroHour Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 It shouldn't but I have asked them why it would. Just testing the app on iOS 10 GM right now.
sparkeh Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 When I touch to see the users who thanked a post and the list of usernames comes up, the back arrow to return to the thread does nothing. Still have this issue where I can't return from the 'thank list' when in portrait mode on an iPad. Anyone else seeing this?

elsiegee40 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Sorry I meant landscape... Long day... Long day... Still works on my iPhone 6. There's a little arrow top right. I did completely reinstall the app at the last update rather than update it. I don't know if reinstalling will make a difference. Edited September 14, 2016 by elsiegee40

elsiegee40 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 This should hopefully be fixed in the build release a few minutes ago. . I can confirm that it hasn't asked for location permission this time 1
ZeroHour Posted September 23, 2016 Author Posted September 23, 2016 Hmm just installed latest build and: A fresh install?
elsiegee40 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 A fresh install? Mine was a fresh install on an iphone 6 (iOS 9) and I didn't get that.
sparkeh Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 A fresh install? Yeah but removed and reinstalled and it didn't ask again.
sparkeh Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Can confirm that with fresh install on iPhone (never having app before) the location thing does not occur 1
newpersn Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Can confirm that with fresh install on iPhone (never having app before) the location thing does not occur Same here. Didn't ask to allow the location. 1
elsiegee40 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Mine was a fresh install on an iphone 6 (iOS 9) and I didn't get that. Just to be clear... whenever I have updated EduGeek via TestFlight, there seems to have been some sort of weirdness afterwards As a result, when I get a notification of an update via TestFlight, I now uninstall the app from my phone and then do a fresh install via TestFlight. I have done this for the last 3 updates. Doing this, I did not get asked for permission to access location this time, but I did on the previous update. 2
sparkeh Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Yeah I think @elsiegee40 has it spot on. In retrospect I might have had the issue when I updated and not done a reinstall. Each time I update I have issues that are resolved with a full uninstall and reinstall 1
sparkeh Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Regarding the "thanks" issue I posted about, I can confirm that it only effects iPad installations, works fine on iPhone. 1

They say they cant recreate it and you should be able to hit ">" icon. Can you post another screenshot and I will email it to them.

If I touch the < arrow it highlights like its been pressed but nothing happens. If I turn the iPad to portrait I get the following layout and the < arrow takes me back to the thread Edited September 25, 2016 by sparkeh
JonThompson Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) Not a bug per say, but the app crashed on me the other day and asked me to submit a crash report via email which I did. Only to get a bounce back saying the mailbox is disabled. Edited November 7, 2016 by JonThompson Spelling mistake 1
ZeroHour Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) 5.3 beta is just rolling out to you all. It has a lot of small UI tweaks which I think look quite good so far. It did ask me for background location services which seems to be a bug which they are investigating. The notification count can be a bit screwy after running for the first time. Please report any issues or anything you like about it. I have not had a chance to test it on iPad yet though. Thanks and I finally think its getting close to release grade now other than those bugs listed. Edited November 21, 2016 by ZeroHour
elsiegee40 Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I get this message when I try to upload a photo. It then goes on to access my phone photos as usual 1
