L3OUGH Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Anyone here mind me adding them on uPlay as need some people to play with/team up with as I'm finding solo'ing the Dark Zone very hard. Drop your uPlay names below or add me. Username is: L3OUGH
cherd84 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 I was thinking more of the big kerboom Agreed, I've found it quite annoying that there doesn't appear to be any splash damage onto their mates from the kerboom. It still sounds ace on some headphones though.

haldarulon Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I was thinking more of the big kerboom or even the huh..huh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - - - Updated - - - yea... guttead about no damage to others!

Username is: jaminbenuk Sure man, I'm not done with all the story missions anyway so we could do those together too. Currently at lvl 16 atm so only a tad ahead of you.
Garacesh Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Started working my way through the Challenge missions and earning Phoenix credits ('named' mobs often drop one or two, too) and buying High-tech blueprints to craft. Managed go make myself a magazine mod with +99.50% ammo per clip, so my LMG has gone up to a 199 clip. Curse you, extra .5%!

I think I have phoenix credits now.. which vendor sells those blueprints? or is that a lvl 30 thing? (not far off!)
L3OUGH Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Aren't the phoenix credits a end game only thing? As in you have to hit lvl 30 and completed main story?
Garacesh Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) I think I have phoenix credits now.. which vendor sells those blueprints? or is that a lvl 30 thing? (not far off!) Upstairs in the tech wing, on your left just as you go in. 'Advanced Gear Vendor' or something like that. Blueprints cost between 80 and 140 credits depending on what you're getting, and he restocks weekly instead of daily I've been told, so you have time to grind the credits you need if you're short. Be prepared to have to craft gear numerous times, though. Due to the dice-roll nature of crafting you often get a bit naff results. But if you've been deconstructing all your gear instead of selling it to vendors, materials are plentiful. @L3OUGH yeah, Phoenix Credits are the endgame currency. You use them to buy high-end (gold/yellow) items outside of the dark zone. You can buy Blueprints etc without phoenix credits instead by using vendors inside the dark zone, but you need to be level 30 (normal) and level 50 (dark zone) to buy those, and they need a crafting material called 'Division Tech' to make, which can only be scavenged in the dark zone. So there's a few different ways of getting endgame items, but neither are easy or quick. Edited March 15, 2016 by Garacesh

I'm glad it's not easy to grab. Long way to go before I'm lvl 30 though. Not even rank 17 yet!! Need to get more people I know playing to crack these harder missions and make DZ life easier as it's hard solo'ing. Well that's what I've found.

Well that's what I've found. I got to lvl 20 before stepping foot in the DZ just do every side mission and every main mission and apparently it should bump you to 30 or near abouts. Also I've found grouping up with strangers in the DZ pretty easy anyway.
Garacesh Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 A friend and I hit 30 from doing all the side quests and only a few of the main missions. EXP on the main missions doesn't scale if you put it on hard, so just keep it on normal whilst you're doing them.

Or the worst kind of people that play friendly till loot extraction then bust me over the pavement and steal my loot. But yeah slowly working my way through the side quests and missions. Will be grinding away again later when I get back. @Garacesh unfortunately none of my friends have brought the game. Too busy nerding away on CS instead of playing a proper game. Garacesh Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Most people that I've met in the Dark Zone have actually been friendly, I've only seen on or two people go rogue on purpose. Though I suspect once people have more gear we'll be seeing more of them. I might have to make a twink character and go rogue in lower level dark zones @L3OUGH add me on uplay (should just be the same as my forum name) and I don't mind giving you a hand, if you don't mind enemy levels scaling up lol

I'll add you later when I get on.
jaminben Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Hope you don't mind but I invited both of you (Garacesh & L3OUGH).

jaminben Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Fine by me, will be on when I get back. Grind out some missions. Not sure I'll be on tonight... building my new rig and it's water cooled so will be a real PIA
L3OUGH Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Not sure I'll be on tonight... building my new rig and it's water cooled so will be a real PIA That all depends if it's a custom loop or self contained! My Corsair h100i GTX was a piece of cake to fit! Good luck anyway!

L3OUGH Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Custom with rigid tubing... seemed like a good idea at the time. On that note, may the force be with you.
PotNoodleTech Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Custom with rigid tubing... seemed like a good idea at the time. Nothing that is good is easy. That being said, might be a good idea to set up a swearbox for the build that way you may end up earning enough for a new graphics card
jaminben Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Got it all done last night (including bending new pipes etc.)... just gotta download the game again which is taking ages on my slow old connection and run some burn in tests. I may actually have a key for The Division on PC if anyone would like it (just got to check with a friend first)?... I got it free with my new hardware.

If your happy to give it away for free then I'd love to take it off you as I've got a friend of mine who's desperate to get in on the action and isn't in the financial position to be buying games right now. Let me know.
