Are many people getting? Anyone played the beta? Hovering over the order button but yet to finish Fallout 4 and still got AC Syndicate, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Metro Redux in their wrappers.

I am waiting to see what this one "looks like" on twitch.

I did that on Battlefront because it "looked crap" on twitch and indeed it was crap judging by the fact it was on sale in the xbox store a 2 months after release (never seen that before on a "blockbuster title").

I am worried about Divison. it looked epic when the first videos were released like nearly 3 years ago - the current videos look exactly the same, which is worrying. What has it taken them 3 years to do exactly?

I'll use my twitch tactic if it looks good buy it!

I may try your Twitch tactic @AButters

Agreed on the 3 years thing. I really hope they get it right. There haven't been all that many games that I've really looked forward to being released this gen but this has been up there.

I got a chance to play it a EGX 2015 last year, It was just a quick game where 3 teams raced to capture a point plus there were NPCs fighting as well.

Would be a good game if you can arrange a guild (for lack of a better term).

Played closed beta, kinda cool, I'd probably get bored of it though. Also many hackers / exploiters.

I tried to get into it, couldn't. NVidia site was being essentially DDoS'd. Sad days.

It does look interesting, and if there's a fully open beta I'll definitely give it a bash. I used to play a lot of APB and APB:Reloaded with some friends and this just looks like a more challenging version of that, in a way, so I'm definitely keeping my eyes on it.

I thought the beta was ok, nothing special though... some parts felt very empty and it felt as though your just running around for the most part but that may change during release.

APB was amazing, I still have it installed but it's soooooo laggy now that it's unplayable :( I was proud when I got to gold then when I went on last year I got pushed down to silver again lol. Maybe one day..

Yeah, I couldn't help but be reminded of APB whilst watching the gameplay videos for it. Certainly looks like my type of game.

It looks like APB, but set in the Dirty Bomb universe :p

This was the reason I bought a PS4 on day one!

Only to find that it gets put back 2 years and then may be a hmmmm kind of game!

Sums up the state of the console market at the moment!

Would have have not worried about it if i knew it was coming to the PC

because 2 and a bit years ago this was the state of play for the division: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/gaming/115415-petition-bring-division-pc.html

Agreed! Most latest gen games I've played so far have been pretty underwhelming. I'm hoping for the best. I don't think it'll end up being awful, just a sneaking feeling that'll it just be another one where you go 'meh' after a few hours on it.

So, played the open beta over the weekend. Had some fun, I liked the look and feel of the game, a few minor glitches when I was running round in the Dark Zone. Seems very easy though. Played in a party with one other person, and apart from a few boss fights, a lie in wait then ambush the bad guys seems to work well most times.

Hoping the storyline fills it out a bit but I do like this genre of game/film/book so will probably buy.

I normally enjoy the Tom Clancy games, but i only play multiplayer with the genre. I tried the open beta on the PS4 this weekend, i did not like it. You had to get to level 8 before you could do online multiplayer so instantly hated it. Its a shame as graphically i liked.

My experience so far of the latest gen consoles are great for single player, but one of the most anti social gaming platforms yet and i really hate it. Xbox removed System Link with the Xbox One, on Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege the multiplayer options are poor, and most games don't seem to have split screen support. Whilst on contrast at the weekend i had mates over, got my 6 Xbox 360s out and had lots of fun on Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2, PG4, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 via System Link real social gaming. I also keep gold on them so we can join online too as a group or play GTA 4 online.

Played the beta this weekend. It was OK. It was reliable, no crashes etc which is good. I am a bit worried about possible lack of content and longevity. It's lucky the beta was only 3 days long as I was a bit bored of the darkzone by Sunday and it seems to be a game mode that encourages grievers, and oh my, there were many. Half were playing it properly and fronting up to you face to face, the other half were standing next to grenades, shooting you're turret, jumping in front of you're line of fire, all to try and get you red.

Meh.

I suspect a lot of it is due to the vocal minority who NEED every game to be 1080p 60fps where 50fps(or probably even 40fps) would probably be near undetectably different and use less grunt to get there. I suspect system link has gone as few people used it

It varies person to person. I find 60fps to be a nice benchmark and see the difference to 30fps (much smoother!). If you don't normally play titles at 60fps, you won't notice the difference. This is only important where you need fluid control and camera motion such as FPS and Racing, strategy or simulation it isn't as important.

Resolution is whatever the native resolution is for the monitor for a crisp image and avoid the slight blurring when you aren't running native resolution, which on most is now 1080p.

Split screen you are cutting half the screen off anyway so it doesn't matter. I think there is something related to multiple viewing ports and it seems to be becoming a lost art as online takes over.

id agree you can tell 60 to 30 but 60 to 50 I suspect isn't much of a loss

I find about 40-45 I can tell the engine is struggling, getting less pronounced until I hit about 55. 30 is just a no, and I suspect The Division beta was capped at 30 as it refused to go over that figure.

It's a long way from my days playing CounterStrike on a laptop at 8-12fps! de_chateau and cs_Havana I had to skip as I only had 4fps....

Meh.

Think that was my concern too, the penalty for engaging in PvP in the dark zone is too high which meant very few people going rogue which then leads to people attempting to make you go red so they can kill you. all a bit sad for a supposed PvP zone.

agree wholeheartedly on the Meh.

My boys where playing it over the weekend. It looks nice but there really didn't seem to be anything to do. They spent most of their time killing people in the darkzone then rushing to get the loot lifted out before they got taken down. Even that they got bored of fairly quickly.

I was getting bored of the dark zone until myself and 2 other friends grouped up at the top of a building and started taking out everyone we saw - we lasted at maximum 'rogue-ness' for about half an hour and killed at least 30 people! now THAT was fun! (then I died and dropped many keys, sad times).

I pre-ordered it for 27.99, solid game but will get boring eventually so it'll be something I go back to every now and then. Literally just like Destiny tbh.

Love the feel, sound and detail put into this game.

I love the darkzone, whether it was solo avoiding large groups (although managed to take out a group of 3 solo) or being in a large group with friends hunting rogues. It was alot of fun.

Got an xboxone to play the alpha (and cloed beta) but switched to PS4 on beta/release due to friends and IQ (dynamic lower resolution on xbo). Probably gonna get it on PC too just to play with other friends.
