Only if you can pair it with (say) a laptop case that you can explain as:

 

"Oh? This little thing? I picked it up from this chap in Portobello. He hand stitches them from Shagreen leather."

Why trim it when you're only just starting to get a bit of body in it? Give it a few more weeks when you can have a trim and still keep some substance.
