It might be a sign of my age that on hearing the my mother is going to give me £150 to spend as I will for my christmas present my first, excited, thought was - "ooh I can buy a new chair for my desk"

Please leave sympathies and any nice office-style type chair recommendations below. Comfortable and with wheels and ideally a headrest for home use.

Is this for home or work?

Arms or no arms, what support do you want?

Home. I don't mind either way about arms. I prefer a headrest or for the back to be high enough I can rest my head on that

I bought one of these for at home a while back and they're fantastic. Pretty easy to put together and I've had no problems with it.

Before I saw the Markus that would have been a winner (I think I that's the one I almost bought for my birthday as my Mum's present) and it is certainly cheaper and if I bought it I could buy myself fallout and the season pass with the change. Hmm decisions decisions....

They are quite comfy, one of our Europe office has got very similar racing seat style chairs and I did enjoy sitting in it and working however I was at my laptop so wasn't the best test for long time use really.

I think I'm getting old too - my selection of a free-choice Christmas gift from my father was a pair of motorcycle tyres.

Old because of going for something practical like tyres, and a bit 'mid-life crisis' because they are for a motorcycle!
