You made a mistake... it WILL be scary! When the full package is currently tipping £80 a month it will be very scary cost I suspect but yet its what they should have been doing for a while now.

Not all of them are HDCP 2.2 compliant so they won't be able to run Ultra HD Through the HDMI socket unless they meet this requirement. HDCP 2.2: the TV spec that could ruin 4K | TechRadar Given that the same thing happened with HD LCD TV's when they first came out, you'd think that they'd learn from their mistakes.

Also: At the rear we have a comprehensive set of connections, with all 4 HDMI ports being mounted at the side and about 14cm from the edge, so if you don’t have chunky HDMI cables, they should stay hidden. The HDMI 2 and 3 inputs are specified to a resolution of 3840 x 2160 at a maximum rate of 60 frames per second and carry support HDCP 2.2, MHL and ARC. You also get the expected legacy video connections, 3 USB ports plus headphone and digital audio outputs and both wired and wireless LAN. The manufacturer or the consumer? The manufacturer very likely doesn't care (if you need another new TV, that's another potential sale...) and let's face it, a lot of consumers just buy whatever the person in $shop tells them to, and in lots of those shops the salesman knows little more than what's written on the box about the product.

I agree, HDMI has been around for a while so they must have know from the outset that there was going to be an updated HDCP standard for 4K and a rough timescale of when it would be released. I only found out after i'd recently bought a UHD TV. Luckily mine is compliant.

I don't know which one's are 2.0 because they're not labelled on the TV and there's no documentation about it grrrrr!!! It Needs to be HDMI 2 and HDCP 2.2 compliant. My TV has 3 HDMI ports but only one is HDCP 2.2 compliant. I've no idea why they do it this way, must be a cost issue or something..
