If one has too many materials, it means one isn't fully harvesting the power of Minecraft. Build big, Live big.

You got 26 million cobblestone? Time to start building a ridiculously complex underground base. Find ways to use even the lesser needed resources. Convert Coal either into (cheap/low RF/t) fuel, or diamonds. Gravel into flint, flint into other stuff. Dirt into fertilizer. There's always a use for everything.

Admittedly the main barrier to getting a smelter up and running is finding clay, I believe. I could probably build one, but for now I think it's more economical to get a macerator up and running first to double most of my ore count.

You know the smelter doubles your ores right? slag mills will get you extra stuff though.

Well i found out i can kill the Gia Guardian 2 without taking any damage, so if anyone wants some dice of fate I'm basically murdering it for the spirits and other drops now. I may also have enough mob souls to resurrect the ender dragon if anyone wants that done.

You realise when you come back online tonight I might of buried your base in sand.

I will take some dice of fate off your hands.

Got a few beehives setup (beware, I have ender bees next to the dragon egg in the end and in the nether in the tunnel connecting my portal with localzuk's). I've started to do a little infusion work with Thaumcraft 4 (with only a little purple goo accident or five). So I now have a silverwood wand with thaumium caps. I've also researched all the thaumic energistics stuff I need to et rid of all my jars and supply essentia to my infusion alter via an AE2 network. I just need to build some Essentia Storage drives and some essentia import buses.

Got a wand of equal trade yet? I.need to convert my cobble stone base into bricks.

Yes, I can do that for a small fee. I can also optionally explode it and/or set fire to everything (optional extras such as these are free of charge and come at no extra cost, or warning).

I managed to hook up my infusion altar to my AE2 network. I also built Essentia Drives and Essentia Import buses for my Arcane Alembics. I tested by making some Boots of the Traveller. So no more jars of essentia everywhere.

Very nice,

I now have 17 stacks of Seared Bricks, and ran out of cobblestone...

So now I have a cobblegen set up for infinite seared stones for basically free. Tonights mission is to increase my storage from 3m RF to somewhere closer to 6m, then fit a few more Solar panels to reduce cost for running my Magma Crucible

Also, I think I've decided what I'm going to do with all my seared bricks...

Make a mega foundry, the absolute peak of the refining world. It's going to be huge, crazy, and not as efficient as using an AE system... but it should be fun when I can finally get the chance to sit and work on it.

Fixed that one :D

It won't really be too deadly (or difficult) to fall in it. Since they're going to be 2-tier smelteries, but en masse. One smeltery for each type of ore, auto smelting into ingots, then storing them in barrels.. However, I lack an AE system... which means I have to do alot of really questionable wiring with Transfer Pipes and Filter units (since there are more than 10 unique ores) This could take an entire day to just wire up, let alone build and then encase in a beautiful structure...

If you fall in, melty metals are hot enough to hurt :p

Then again you could start an automated farm and make pork ingots lmao

Isn't there some kind of substance that requires player sacrifices to make, too?

Yeah, you can get blood from standing in the smeltery. A few other things too but I don't know off by heart.

Speaking of blood... Gara, could I please use you as a blood farm if I promise to keep you fed?

Build me an EXP tank and sure xP But it's probably easier to do it yourself lol.

@Garacesh, currently I'm not that teched up. I mainly just have very basic power generation and a decent sized tinkers smeltery with basic (very basic) automation. I have the supplies to start looking more in depth, maybe even a primative ME system, but I don't really have the time since I have my French friend living in my place.

You've at least got hundreds of skulls underneath the thing though haven't you?

Yes, I have a cleaver so no shortage of mob heads to place around the infusion altar.

Just out of interest, what does everyone else use to power all of their systems (IC2, AE2, Ender IO...) I currently have a series of solar panels and a coal-fired generator in my IC2 setup, which powers an Energy Acceptor for my AE2 stuff. I'm still not sure how to power Ender IO devices. I was considering a big reactor, but that seems to be a bit of a leap.
