I've been asked to make a certificate to give out to pupils who demonstrate the 5 R's.

What are the 5 R's?

So far I've got Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Reform

or

Reading Righting 'Rithmatic Resilience and Retribution.

Any other ideas? So far my certificate looks like this:

resistance is futile

resistance is useless

resistance is the refusal to accept or comply with something

resistance is the impeding or stopping effect exerted by one material thing on another

resistance is the ability not to be affected by something, especially adversely

Regretting eating that donut.

Ridiculing the student who's 'password doesn't work'.

Racing to the front of the line at lunch time.

Resolved that ticket that's been open for weeks, finally.

Respecting support staff? hah, that'll be the day!

Wait, what are we talking about?

From:The 5Rs of Lifelong Learning

[h=2]The 5Rs of Lifelong Learning[/h]

What makes a good learner? Or, put another way, what knowledge, skills and attitudes should a learning to learn approach develop? In answer to these questions the Campaign has developed the 5Rs for lifelong learning model.

The Campaign’s belief is that by using learning to learn approaches to develop the 5Rs in all their pupils or students, schools can achieve their core purpose, namely preparing young people so that they can and will continue learning effectively throughout their lives. The 5Rs were updated for Phase 4 of the research to:

Readiness

Resourcefulness

Resilience

Responsibility

Reflection

Well you've made my Monday a whole lot happier.

I think I'm going to volunteer to lead an assembly on Diesel Emission Reduction- the kids will be on the edge of their seats! (That is, if they had seats in the hall...)

The teacher with the answers is in class. I reckon some of you are right though.... I'm in suspense to find out. I've been told there are some characters to go with them too. I hope it's not these:

We have 6 - Resourcefulness, Resilience, Reasoning, Responsibility, Reflection, Respect.

I like yours though! Might have to think of some new ones!

OK we have the answer!

Resourceful, Responsible, Resilient, Reasoner and Reflective.

Apparently the characters are from class dojo. No idea how I'm going to put all that into a certificate!

Is Reasoner an actual word?
