Just had the email from Microsoft announcing that Office 2016 is launched today :)

I've been trialing this for several months now and have been quite happy with it with no issues (that I've noticed) dampening my views of it so far.

Anyone else with a 365 subscription upgraded yet?

I have 2016 on my Mac courtesy of my free office 365 subscription I got with the Surface and it's been running very nicely!! No issues here.

It's also available on VLSC on Mac, haven't had a look for Windows version yet though!

Microsoft treat it as a separate product for some reason!

The Mac version has been a separate product since Office '98 was released. :)

A lot of code is now shared between the different editions however.

I've been using 2016 at home for months and months, like it quite a lot, had no issues at all.

Obviously waiting on VLSC for my work pc, but I'll be doing it on the day most likely.

Had it on preview for ages and its got bugs, the calendar has a freak out from time to time, latest S4B client can consume ram suddenly, printing is also a bit tempremental. These are all common on Windows 10 it seems and others have seen the S4B issues and calendaring one. Seems better on Win 8 however.

hmm so I have to put all my users in the first release batch?

Doing so will allow them to upgrade their personal versions of Office which are licensed through your O365 plan, presumably you aren't using those licenses at work?

Nooo we are not :) Just concerned with what else doing that will bring.

Well, whatever Microsoft decide to push to First Release, in recent times it's been the minor redesign of the O365 OWA with the addition of the bar, and in the past it's been Video, Delve, App Launcher, Themes, Clutter, Sweep, Groups?, etc.

To be honest if you are concerned about what might get pushed to First Release then I would just leave them as they are.

Working well here, enabled it instantly for select users in the portal under system settings >> updates.

Good stuff, much nicer theme than 2013!

One thing that does annoy me however is that outlook and word have the same colour scheme. Very annoying, I wish they would move outlook back to the yellow/gold scheme. It was much nicer.
