dastrix Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 What time do you guys have to get in tomorrow, they want one of us to be in for 6am just incase anything goes wrong?
rpettit Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 We are in at 8 am - connecting in during the night to download results files. If there are any problems then hopefully I'll be better prepared or have resolved any issues by the morning.
6Foot2 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I will be opening school at 5:30 tomorrow. An English teacher is expected after 6:00. After that, the late attendees will be in around 8:00 to 8:30.
rpettit Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Just opened A2C - Edexcel is showing a connection error already - is this a sign of things to come...? CIE results appear to have been downloaded already
ass17 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 If CIE is Cambridge then yes they came a day early.
Stephen_UAH Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 This is my first Results night, should I be worried about the connection error on A2C with Edexcel?
rpettit Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Just logged in remotely - all e-mail results downloaded without issue
mthomas08 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I turned up around 8:45. My normal holiday start time, although we did actually have a SIMs issue which didn't update properly - ON THE EXAMS PC - sorted out quickly though.
eyetea Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Normal holiday start time here as no one has asked anything! (8:30)
andy_nic Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 in at 6am, but get to go home 2 hours earlier so not bad.
pete Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Checked we had all the patches, updates and Performance Measures files, checked the Exams Newsfeed for last-minute hilarity, tidied the EXAMIN folder, left A2C running overnight to pull the results. Walked in this morning ~9am to find that what Exams Organiser is calling some qualifications on the Results Broadsheet is different* (and wrong), but the Candidate Statement of Results is accurate. Cue the Exams Officer and I manually going through the broadsheet to compare each qualification against a student who took that course to check we had everything we needed. Oh, and the fact that twins still causes a problem with accurate results matching with certain boards. *Food Tech and Product Design lumped into the same column, for example, or General Studies being called "Logic and Philosophy". PM is on v3 and we've re-downloaded and refreshed basedata and re-imported.
zag Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Just exclude a2c addresses from the proxy server and you should be fine. a2c.ccea.org.uk a2c.pearson.com a2c.aqa.org.uk a2c.cambridgeassessment.org.uk a2c.avcosystems.co.uk a2c.wjec.co.uk a2cssl.cityandguilds.com On our smoothwall, I just added them to the authenticated exceptions list.
ITGURU Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Mouchel's Proxies/network has been down today since 4.30pm - Best be back online by early hours tomorrow or not doubt they'll be complaining to me as always!
gaz350b Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I'm expected to be in at 6am with the exams officer but she said she'll call me if there are any issues as she knows I can VPN from home to sort most of her issues. phone and laptop on charge next to the bed! would love to leave early but we are having some temporary buildings installed and guess when the power is scheduled to go off.......... 4pm for at least 1 hour
victory2012 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Well internet went down at 7pm this evening so tomorrow is looking busy!!!!!!!!
Stephen_UAH Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Yep, still waiting for edexcel! Roughly 700 results to come in from them too!
THERADIOTUBBY Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Yep same here... files seemed to take ages to import into Sims
rpettit Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Please Could someone send a reply to this thread when Edexcel results have successfully downloaded...Thanks
