LinkZ Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 DirSync is free and works really well Synchronizing your directory with Office 365 is easy - Office Blogs
Davit2005 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 DirSync will synchronize the accounts in AD, but as far as I am aware you will need to assign licenses another way, either manually or via a powershell script. When you install DirSync It will ask to do an Initial Sync but be carefull here as it will probably do the whole of AD. You can specify settings for what OU you want Sync'd within the DirSync application via the Configure Directory Partitions tab on the Active Directory Controller. Microsoft have a dedicated team for this I think and are very helpful.
rama1712 Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 The Web link Synchronizing your directory with Office 365 is easy - Office Blogs will not load. Do you need to have Azure everything i look at seems to imply this.
FN-GM Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Do you need to have Azure everything i look at seems to imply this. The basic version of Azure comes with 365. You will be using it to manage your existing users. You won't need to spend any more money.
mikkydoos Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 All you need is the MS Directory Syncronisation Tool (DirSync). Nothing else. You set it up to sync every 12 hrs for example then a PShell script to assign licenses.
