@X-13 Your a gamer, you know what to put in (and what to avoid). Get coding! Very rare to have someone capable of art and code so if you lack graphics it doesn't matter, if the project takes off you will find a way.

Very Young : A pilot. Didn't happen but I did learn to fly gliders to the point of going solo. I will probably go back to that at some point.

From about 12 on, computer programmer which did happen.

I haven't seen that, but I did notice the fact these aren't actually real courses.

 

It's an apprenticeship that costs just under £10,000 and requires a degree to apply for.

They do undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They are not apprenticeships but fully accredited courses.

They are partnered with Sony who set a brief for a new game which you and your team are tasked to deliver.

I wanted to create video and live content for video games (as in playing games, recording, editing, that kind of stuff) never really did much with it and I don't know why. But I wanted to do something with computers which I am doing so it's all good.

 

Also intrigued with military but I know I'm not cut out for that

Very young = Binman. Didn't happen

SNAP!! I even had a long conversation with the Binman that did our bins when I was about 8, on the job and everything. Didn't happen though.

 

Hahahaha! I also wanted to be a binman when I was about 6 or 7 although it was due to flawed reasoning. The binmen (and one bintransexual) used to come round and empty our bin once every week. I interpreted this as meaning that they had the rest of the week off.

That was my reasoning as well. I thought wow you get paid loads just to do a few bins one morning a week, where do I sign up?

When I was about six, I wanted to be a vet. Putting bandages on puppy paws and plasters on cats seemed very appealing. Then a program on TV showed me that animals can die, they have blood and guts and vets spend time in places I didn't know existed on a pet. I did not want to be a vet.

 

Then computers became very appealing.

Never really had a dream job - loved acting but with an older sister who wanted to be an actor from the age of 7, I wasn't allowed to express this! (she went to drama school and is an actor now)

Wanted something to do with the sea and travel - toyed with the RN but in those days women didn't go to sea and anyway, everyone said I wouldn't put up with the ordering about!

So went to be a radio officer in the MN. Never got in though due to economic downturn.

Er - not really. A bit part in Casualty a long time ago along with various other one-liner type roles. In acting, it is generally luck or who you know rather than talent that gets you a job - she is of course amazingly talented and did do many years in theatre.

She now runs a company that does corporate training - scenarios to explain something with one character whose behaviour the attendees can change, as well as running Music for Health in the local area - going into dementia homes and playing music, doing quizzes, sing alongs and other things to stimulate the residents.

She also runs dementia choirs in these homes as three local choirs as well.

Primary school age - Vet.

Then in secondary school I went to a Vets for work experience for a week. Realised I really did not want to be cutting animals open, even it if was for their own good. I'd much rather work with them. So looked into various animal training sectors. Very difficult to get into...

Police Dog Handler - 3+ years as a PC then 5+ year waiting list for a dog

Army sniffer dog - Either do basic training then specialise or go get a degree and go in as an officer (4+ years)

Guide dog trainer - Doable, but lots of volunteering to do to be considered for it first. And only every 3 or 4 years does a job come up for this in the whole of Scotland.

TV/Movie animal trainer - Almost all are family businesses.

 

I'll never say never though!

When I was in secondary school, my dream job was to be an IT Manager in a school. Good enough career choice that I pursued it.

Pilot - didn't happen...

 

Did serve in the RAF though but as an engineer. Actually did have one posting that should have been my ideal job but the guy in charge was such a I didn't really like going to work. Part of the reason I left.
