Primary School Headphones

I know this topic has been done before but I wanted to get a range of opinions and experience specific to younger children.

 

Quite simply; which headphones do you use (and recommend) for primary school age children? Do you go down the expensive (not too expensive!) and durable route, or cheap/cheerful and replace them/swap them out quite often? (in either case, how often do you need to replace them?).

We have some of these in our primary school. Not had a broken pair yet, you can bend/twist them and they don't break! Having a replaceable 3.5mm jack cable is nice also

Huge +1 for the Hills Components ones above. We use those here and they're great, sturdy bits of kit. If they'll survive secondary school, they'll survive primary.

We've got some of the easi-headphones which are good but one or two pairs now have a very soft socket on the headphone itself - consistent with being knocked with a cable plugged in. One day I'll open a pair up and see how replaceable the sockets are.

We got some of the Hills ones (as recommended in another thread) and they are great. Really inexpensive but good quality and loud. Tough cord and can be adjusted for very small heads - we're a primary. We have 50 odd pairs of these and I think they're great - although if you think that secondary proof translates to primary proof, you need to come and visit! Our three year olds have pulled these apart! It's more dismantling than destroying, so they go back together (the bit that goes over the ear is attached to the band by a Y shaped piece of metal which can be stretched and then the ear piece is detached from the band). No one has damaged the cables/electronics yet and I'd definitely still recommend them.

 

Hills Components definitely recommended as a supplier too.

We've broken one pair in 9 months and that was a child having a melt down; that child also ripped the sockets off the mobo of the laptop too.
