This may sound a bit OTT (well I though it did) but I have a few of my girly friends that go on Tinder when they've recently met a boy just to see if he's on there and if he is they don't bother with him. This isn't just a one off a lot of them are doing it now because and I quote my friend Emily saying "I don't want to get into a relationship with a sex pest"... and another friend saying "They're all sleez bags" Not sure if this is the norm now but I suppose women and men a-like always 'research' a new partner on social media so I suppose this isn't much different. I was quite shocked though because it wasn't something I thought people did!! I suppose Tinder has it's own audience though, a bit like adultfriendfinder does.

I don't know what I would do in a new relationship situation, but I think sometimes it's best to not dig, because everyone has a past that won't necessarily fit with your ideals. I'd rather keep it a big fat question mark. There was no social media when I had boyfriends and I found out they were douchebags for myself never did me any harm.

That's what I did with my current Girlfriend and only actually added each other on FaceBook when we actually where together, before that nothing. Though I think in this day of age, women especially, may feel they need to do this kind of research before they meet up with somebody or get involved because there are now a lot of nutters out there whereas before it seemed a bit more relaxed. It's the same reason why people now don't do anything/get involved or help in situations due to the fear of the fact they might get stabbed or hurt. So I can kind of see why people do it. I don't have statistics to back this up but that how I personally feel today's society is acting.
