Hi Everyone

The SLT decided to not renew the maintenance fee for Frog last year as the new head thought it was too costly. Well, I need to change some network details on the external NIC, but I cannot log into the Maintenance Console on the Frog Server. Frog have informed me that they would need to charge £750.00 to provide me with the root password!!! I have tried to get around it by using SystemRescueCD and change the network card details there, but not managed to change the settings yet. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on a workaround on this or if they have been left in a similar position by Frog?

Look forward to your replies

I believe if you try:

user:netconf

password:netconf

This should have the rights to be able to change the ip details of the frog box.

@edsa131

Not your problem!!!

Push it back to your SLT and don't be put on!

It was their decision to drop the support so now they have to pay the price!!!

This is bad management on their behalf and if they think they can get away with this then they will start dropping other service support just as easy,

These are just my thoughts but they wouldn't hesitate in your place if they had this decision to make!!

Bossman is not wrong though. If he accidently knacks Frog, then it's the SLT's fault and will cost a lot more to fix. I know it's an expensive SLA but I'm surprised at their decision. We use Frog way too much to take a chance like this.
