techy32 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 We have quite old projectors here in our school and replacing them in phases. We currently need to replace 3 projectors 1. Sanyo PC-XU41 2. Hitachi ED-X10 3. Hitachi CP-X605 How do you people find the replacement projector which gives the same throw as the old one as we do not want to change the location of the mount.
LeMarchand Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Give supplier distance and screen size, then you can blame them if it all goes pear-shaped. That said, if you can possibly afford the extra cost I'd go wall-mounted.
john Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I just bought a Casio yet to meet an old range that didn't get covered by the Casio's superb optics

SteveB_NI Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I install Epsons, with quick corner i havent had to move a mount yet Same here. They are fantastic - the image quality is super too.
sonic1485 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I install Epsons, with quick corner i havent had to move a mount yet Epson quick corner is the greatest thing EVER!!
ADMaster Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have an Epson rep coming soon to demo the new brightlink.
diddylord Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 As said both casio LEDs or Epson projectors would adjust to suit
caffrey Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 +1 for epsons, quick corner is the best - the wall mount hitachis have something similar too
techy32 Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Thanks everyone for your input. I will look into Epson quick corner.
The_IT_Guy Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Quick corner looks great. Any models to look out for or that people use? Trying to find out a list of models that use it but can't seem to find it.
mrbios Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I've been using Epson EB-X20s and EB-W18. X20s are roughly £300, the W18s are closer to £375-400. Got quite a few of those two models, and some of the older discontinued X11s. Brilliant projectors, and replacement bulbs are cheap too (I think they are £70-80 compared to £110+ from all the ones we replaced)
jmak Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Wall mounting has definitely been an improvement for our use with SMART boards - teachers report that they only rarely have to re-orientate the boards now, whereas previously it was several times per lesson in some classrooms with shaky ceilings. I've been putting Hitachi UST projectors in and have had a 5 year warranty for projector and lamp.
pow Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I'm using a mix of X11,12 and X20s, although I'm moving towards just Hdmi so trying to get shot of the 11s slowly. Basically, you can put a projector up pissed as a fart and use quick corner to square it up
