Can anyone recommend a tool for syncing straight from local share into shared drives in google? It seems Google's backup and sync tool only allows you to sync to "My Drive".

We had an employees office 365 account compromised. Does anyone know if you can run a report that shows which emails have been read and which IP address this was done from? If so how. We need to establish what data has been accessed. Thanks

We are looking at how we deliver GDPR training and now potentially buying into a service to help us manage data flows, complete DPIAs etc. We have seen GDPR.co.uk is £495 for secondaries and GDPR in schools seems to offer a similar service. Has anyone experience of both of these systems? Any that they feel is an improvement on the other? I will be arranging demo's but useful to get the views of people using the systems already. Thanks

Does anyone know with the live stream option, is it possible for students watching on the live stream link to submit questions via the chat feature? Or for the people list to be populated with the students watching on the live stream link?

Hi Is vault the only way to access users google drive folders without changing their passwords? It is ok, but wondered if there was a way so you can see the folder structure and browse them that way? Thanks

Do you have to enable the live streaming option somewhere? When I create a calendar hangout it still just shows hangouts meet in the options? Also does it record by default or do you have to enable this? Are the new features from Google enabled yet? Apologies for all the questions. Thanks

We have a teacher who cannot see her timetable in SIMS. I think it is because in the "SIMS Roles" column she has Employee, User, Agent but not Teacher. How can I add this role? Thanks

Is this going to be indicating it's a port blocked issue? If so where will I need to make the changes? All the 200-206 IPs are the access points.

When I join I get an IP address from our DHCP server.

We are a flat network at the moment.

I purchased some Unifi APs (nano-HD) and have been testing them, the guest features etc all worked fine. Purchased more of them and have been setting them up but now when trying to connect to the SSID's including guest ones they say "Connected, no internet". The Guest SSID doesn't auto load the captive portal or give an option to log in just says no internet. Anyone else experienced this? Pretty sure I've not changed anything. They are on firmware 4.0.42.10433 Thanks

Do any of you run the BTEC Extended Certificate in Information technology where the students have to create websites? Basically I was after finding out what software you used for it? We have dreamweaver but apparently it is too difficult for the students/teachers to use. We have been asked about setting up wordpress for students or asked if there are any other web based website development tools that could be used? Something mid way between Google Sites and Dreamweaver. They have used Serif before but we have a very old version and they don't like it. Thanks in advance

Just had our renewal quote through for EES agreement. Even though FTE has reduced by 8% the cost has gone up by 31%!!!!! Anyone succeeded in, inventive ways to lessen the blow. Other than dropping Microsoft and going Google (We are along that path but not enough)

Strongly recommend looking into Senso. Support is outstanding and the system just works. Cloud based so setup and deployment is done in minutes.

We have a backup FTTC line costs about £800 a year. About a month after it was installed I had a call from our ISP saying they noticed our internet feed was down and I replied no it wasn't its working fine, without realising it had automatically switched over to the FTTC line! Would highly recommend. Glad we had it as its a good piece of mind whilst we move more to GSuite. Also that outage was a whole area one down for two days and we just carried on working. We are a secondary everyone uses out FTTC line when the main one fails.

Hi We are looking to introduce a 5 year retention period on emails and wondered what other schools do regarding safeguarding emails. Do you get staff to download them or have exemption rules for certain accounts? Thanks

Who owns files that staff create when working at your school? The school (employer) or the teacher? Is there a link to any policy etc that confirms this either way? Also, if a member of staff who has left recently requests a copy of their documents do we have to comply? I am thinking that their documents will contain personal information of students and it will be a nightmare going through to remove this before a copy is sent. Again any info/links to policies to back it up either way Thanks

Got a google drive file stream issue that I can't figure out. A desktop has it installed and has worked this year. User recently went to log into it and gets a "Can't reach google drive. Try adjusting your proxy settings" error after attempting to log in. I have tried logging in as teachers and admin same issue. Tried changing the proxy address to our limited one and still the same issue. The settings are the same as another desktop and it works on there with the same users. Anyone else had this or have any ideas? Thanks

Banging my head against the wall with A2C software at the moment. Each time our exams officer opens it, it freezes or the exam board links just spin around saying connecting then get an error saying "error: The semaphore timeout period has expired" But when an admin account logs in it works fine. I've put this potentially down to permissions. Ones we have already applied are modify to "C:\Windows\TempXMLSerialize" Anyone experienced this? We are now windows 10.

Is anyone able to give me an idea of cost with Inventry via PM? Just so I can see if we need to rule it out before we start. Thanks
