6Foot2 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Can you spot the error? [No Googling/other search engine] http://i.snag.gy/cPo0z.jpg
featured_spectre Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Yeah, the image of space is upside down (I think).
Andrew_C Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Yeah, the image of space is upside down (I think). It's all relative you know.
3s-gtech Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Scarlett Johansson's head is not disembodied, and around 20 light years across? 1
korifugi Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I'm thinking it's the calculations on the right.
JB7 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 She is on this poster and not at my house where I have requested her to be multiple times* ? *I joke** **Honestly !!
6Foot2 Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 All answers submitted so far are incorrect. Opinions submitted are another matter. The entire movie was an error [Haven't seen the film myself]
peterp Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 The entire movie was an error Why the troll. It was an abysmal movie. About the only film I've seen recently that I haven't been able to watch to the end. I have a VERY high tolerance of bad sci-fi, I normally love it, but this movie was just appalling. I'm not sure that the colour of her eyes is entirely legitimate either.

It seems to be loved by people I have spoken to so far, much to my disappointment. Worst film (regardless of genre) I have seen in at least 10 years, quite possibly the worst I've ever watched start to finish. Absolutely zero depth to the story, nothing interesting happens after the first 10 minutes, then it ends in what I can only describe as WTF. The premise was awesome, the execution dire. I hope someone runs with the idea and makes a decent Sci-Fi out of it though.

siuko Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 The only error I can see it that poster (considering I have no clue what the stuff on the right means) is that its a poster for the film Lucy and no where does it say that lol
LosOjos Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I've not seen Lucy but it sounds similar to Limitless which was released, what, four years ago? It is similar, but not as good. Limitless had a story beyond the abilities, Lucy doesn't. But yeah you're right, the premise has already been done. In fact I may well watch Limitless again - I remember liking it but I didn't buy it (that's my sign I really enjoyed a film!), might be worth another try.
fairm010 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Well her eyes are about 3,000,000 different colours in this picture?
HC_Netman Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Probably not right but if AB=AC I guess A has to be 0 (assuming B and C are different). A is then used in a number of the other equations which I'm guessing doesn't work to well... Like I said probably not right - maths was never my strong point!

Not right but getting closer as the error that this tread is about is a mathematical one.
3s-gtech Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 The axis on the sine wave shows -2pi, -1/2pi, -pi, -pi/2 where ot should be -2pi, -3/2pi, -pi, -pi/2.

3s-gtech Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Gah. I have an office full of new equipment to install, all waiting on overworked electricians to fit out rooms ready for it. Also just finished a pretty damn cool virtualisation project for the students, so sitting in a lull now. Nice to exercise my brain a bit!
localzuk Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 What equations? I'm still looking at Scarlett! Wait, there were equations?!
