BKGarry Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Well I am now in a new office (moved in with the techies) and the wall are all very bare. They are all a lovely almost white colour but the only thing on them is the Map of Online Communities from Spring/Summer 2010. I can print A1, A0 and even up to 3 meters long so size is not so much of an issue, I just need some inspiration on what to put up, I like the idea of some lovely abstract tech stuff and some subtle funny references. I just can't seem to find any I like so I though I would tap the collective wisdom and see what the fellow edugeek community suggests. Just have the feeling that I need to get something up on these walls to make it a bit nicer :-)

To someone that doesn't know a great about electricity besides "It hurts sometimes".. That's a valid question. Why is there a 0 Ohm resistor? Google/Wikipedia to the rescue! Apparently it's so that auto-assembly machines can put wires onto PCB's. It's not actually a resistor.. Just shaped like one so that machines can hold it properly. Edited March 2, 2015 by Garacesh

Doing one for the premises team with all fire call points/smoke alarm/bells as well.

Its great, means that if there is no wifi in an area we can see where the nearest access point is and go from there. Also just doing one for cctv cameras and also adding fire extinguishers and fuse boards on to the premises one for there wall. 1

Very handy when we had our fire alarm services this past half term as I could give the engineer a copy of the map with the call points that are on the primary fire system highlighted so he knew which ones his mate would be able to silence from the panel (The joys of having 6 fire panels!!!) Once you have a site plan the walls just get covered with different versions. If I had enough room I'd stick up a 40" TV and just have a scrolling display of all the different maps. 1
