Looking for free recording/mixer/sequencer software

Hi - as per title - can anyone recommend some decent free mixer/sequencer type software (to run on windows)?

Not sure if its decent, I've no clue about mixing! But Mixxx is quite nice looking!

I haven't tried any of these, but there's an increasing number of web-based sequencers which might be worth a look.

Audiotool - make music in your browser

Avoid Audacity for anything like 'mixing,' though if you just want quick chopping and re-organising and a few effects I quite like the workflow.

 

Other than that, nothing free tickles my pickle. Cubase for me.

Looks good, do note that it requires Chrome to work (not a problem for most schools, but we don't use it for instance).

I don't know enough about music production software to be able to comment myself, but our music department seems quite impressed by Soundtrap - we've just bought a year's education license for use in the classroom.

Ardour 5 is out and is now available for the Windows platform (it was a Linux and Mac-only release).

 

The costing uses the 'pay what you want' model.

 

If you've used ProTools, you'll be quite at home with this.
