truebluesteve Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 So I received the items below this morning - in the bag shown. I was completely convinced it was a genuine prescription until I opened it! The 'pills' were in fact skittles and I will make sure that I take the prescribed amount Has anyone else had this or received anything as equally as strange? PS - I did actually receive a diecast model of a Vespa once (and that I still have) and still have no idea what the connection was between it and the company that sent it to me!

LosOjos Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Marketing materials that look like prescription drugs but are actually sweets being sent to schools... does anyone else feel a Daily Mail front page coming on? 1
truebluesteve Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 And in the needle just some harmless heroin. Already tried that - but just leaves an inky mess!
pete Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Samsung sent me a tree (Norway Spruce) once. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/17312-did-samsung-send-anyone-else-tree-today.html
DalekSec Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 cant remember who sent it but got sent, - lego bricks, glitter, copper wire, headphones, a battery, a mini screwdriver and told to make a time machine, in which I succeeded hello from 1066!
gtg93 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 That was Impero I believe - I got the same, only I wasn't onsite on that day, so had an email saying I'd just had a Time Machine delivered from my colleague :S
Oaktech Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Samsung sent me a tree (Norway Spruce) once. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/17312-did-samsung-send-anyone-else-tree-today.html I didn't get one from Samsung, but way back in the dawn of time I got one from Canon for adopting their smart card release system, along the lines of "Over the life of your device, your choice of smart card release will save 12 trees... Here's one of them!" It'll be 10 in about 2 months time and is still outside my former employer's premises.
tommej Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 And in the needle just some harmless heroin. very morish
sonofsanta Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 A blanking plate for a computer we don't have. One of my technicians was so flabbergasted at the waste of time and money it represented that he posted it back with an angry rant. I wouldn't mind a tree, though. Or Skittles, though I do think the packaging is a little stupid...
arwen Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Size 10 guys RM socks at an RM seminar that I had no choice in going to and that RM were well aware that females would be there. They didn't understand when I was rather annoyed and insulted that they only brought those socks "as a gift to all the hard working ICT Support people". As the for prescription bag of goodies. That is rather cool!
Disaster Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I got a Jägermeister condom at a gig once. The band were sponsored by them so they were giving all sorts of their stuff away.
