For example we have recently invested in Salamander Soft which means we remove a huge amount of work for creating accounts now. I'm just wondering what other services people might recommend that can save allot of time. M
Steve21 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Well assuming obvious ones already in place but just in case (Not all paid for/high usage, but certainly useful and saves lots of time when needed) VNC/Remote control Just Another Process Monitor - Allows remote connection to task manager/services etc to kill stuck stuff easily without running around site Procurve Manager - (Not at current school) but allows centralised management and detection of all procurve switches Spiceworks - Monitoring of computers/assets and helpdesk etc Salamander - As mentioned. Fotosizer - Batch resizing of photos to remove those pesky 20MB photos Treesize - Storage monitoring and easily working out whos stealing all your data Angry IP Scanner - IP scanner ProcMon - Monitoring certain program to find issues with installs like file access/registry keys etc Obviously not all major expensive ones etc but a lot that help a bundle when doing bits that would take years individually like resizing photos etc Gigs and gigs saved in one scan lol Steve

jamesfed Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services + PowerShell - lots of automation there like running reports, importing new users, updating mail lists and so on
