I'm finally signed up and coming down Saturday. Sadly one click reg was literally one click and I didn't come up with a silly job title... ;)

Would be grateful if anyone knows of any cheaper/better hotels nearer :)

My hotel was booked for me but I was told that it was tricky to find somewhere close by. Sounds like you've found a good deal there though :)

I've ended up miles away by Wembley Stadium. I find it difficult to believe that was the closest available but I'm just happy to be going so I'm not complaining. Plus I have since been told there is a pool and sauna on site which will be much appreciated after the many marathons you end up walking around BETT over the days.

I'm just making a note of which stands have free food, drinks, alcohol, sweets...

I'm planning on putting at least one packet of high quality(*) biscuits on our stand but forum rules prevent me from telling you which stand it is. This means that (a) I'll have to eat them all myself or (b) you'll have to visit all stands and ask for 'the secret biscuits'. I'd strongly recommend the latter.

Whoop, we're all booked in for Bett :-) Coming down on the Wednesday night, staying over, then at the show on the Thursday before coming home on the Thursday night :-)

Fingers crossed Ofsted don't try to come in this time (like they did last year)!

You should come and see us Tony. We have free coffee and chocolate for all on our stand :)

Don't say that he will NEVER leave it

As for where to stay... Travellodges are not bad for the money, maybe avoid Deptford Bridge unless you like hookers we saw plenty of them but its handy for the DLR but the Travelodge staff were great. Tower Gateway is fine and the DLR trip in simples, the one in Woolwich is ok so I'm told and despite its bad press its an ok town :)

I've been allowed to attend for the first time since i started, asked for the last 11 years! Flying into London City and walking to Excel which will be a novel experience. Better start wearing in my walking shoes i think!

Think i laid it on thick about new buildings, proxy renewal, leased line renewal and that we'd never managed to research everything without attending!

That be a bit of a walk mate you have to walk down to West Silvertown / Pontoon Dock, around the housing estate and across the footbridge over the dock to the side of ExCeL. I've done the walk from Excel across to the DLR as the DLR points failed just out of Canning town so the trains ran to ExCeL and told us to walk over the bridge and DLR shuttling from Pontoon to Woolwich at that time which was great but took me probably 20 mins (and I had my big suitcase and no lifts on the bridge stairs at night they are locked off for security grrr)

Haha! I've done that walk too because me and some friends got on the wrong DLR. Ended up at Silvertown and couldn't be bothered to go back so we walked to Excel via the footbridge. Looked shorter then it is. :D

Bad times if it was a peak time you'd only have 5 mins at worse to wait but off-peak 10.

Be interesting if they run the ExCeL event shuttle which is handy to get more trains to ExCeL from West Ham to Prince Regent (via Canning Town) which helps move people on.

Oh shut up @X-13, you only get an email because you asked for one.

As for saving in Word - I don't know why I did that - WHY DO YOU EXPECT ME TO KNOW WHY I DO STUFF
