My favourite Christmas song has to be That Was The Worst Christmas Ever! from the Songs for Christmas Box Set by the genius that is Sufjan Stevens. Granted it's not one you'd want to play at the office party, (unless you wanted to send everyone home feeling miserable) but I get the shivers every time I listen to it. Just beautiful.

Ooh, tough choice - it could be John Lennon's Happy Christmas (War Is Over), it could be Jona Lewie's Stop the Cavalry for its dubbadubbadumdums... but I think for sheer sing-a-long-ability, I'm going to have to go with Wham's Last Christmas.

Good to see you acknowledge what is surely the greatest Christmas film of them all. As I saw posted somewhere recently, there are two kinds of people: those who recognise Die Hard as a Christmas film, and those who are wrong.

 

Definitely going with Mini-Madvent Mega Monday Multi-Draw instead of Triple Draw Fridays then?

Please can someone pass the message on to @StevieM that I'm not talking to him again until he has at least Die Hard 1 & 2 watched, as the most exquisite and refined examples of the action movie genre.

You see, it's those two words right there that are the stumbling block for me - 'action movie'. Big explosions and all guns a-blazing gratify me not. :yawn:

 

But never let it be said that StevieM has a closed mind and isn't open to new experiences. I shall seek out and watch the first two movies as requested and see what I can glean from them. If I find any value contained therein, I will watch the rest.

 

I'm eligible for a 30-day trial of Amazon *spit* Instant Video so I'll sign up for that over the hols.
