CAM Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 BBC News - Pub chain criticised for calorific doughnut burger I know it is terrible for anyone's health but....that picture has me drooling.
Garacesh Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Mel Wakeman, senior lecturer in Applied Physiology at Birmingham City University, said: "To me, this is simply ludicrous and irresponsible. I am no killjoy but why is this sort of food available?" Because whilst nosey do-gooders continuously try to shmosey in on our life and tell us what we can and can't put into our bodies* there will always be people who will purposely push the boundaries just for the sake of it. Also as a middle finger to you. Gimme one. * Legalities excluded, i.e. restricted substances. Though some people obviously feel the same way regarding those.
john Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 It looks not that great tbh, stick it between two lumps of good bread and we maybe talking.
hardtailstar Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Id give it a go and just not eat anything else that day, that works right?

sonofsanta Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Not sure about the combination of sweet doughnuts and savoury burgers but hey, I'd give it a go. Looks pretty tasty to me. Arreks Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I'd probably eat it then regret it and cry in a corner, soaked in my 78% saturated fat tears. Not sure about the combination of sweet doughnuts and savoury burgers but hey, I'd give it a go. Looks pretty tasty to me. Joanne Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I'd love to have a taste. Wouldn't want to eat it all though, I'd feel well sick after that. Blerg. I felt sick after having a standard burger at my local burger house... it was so delicious, but felt well ill afterwards because of the grease... DAMN YOU CLEAN EATING!!! 1

madurham Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I used the tried and tested method of peer pressure to get a mate of mine to eat one for science. He said it tasted great. I expect it to be pulled soon so should probably get your fix quick.
korifugi Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Hungry Horse are actually pretty good for their huuuuge meals. I've not had the burrito mentioned in the article, but I have had their 'Bombay Banquet' - Curry, rice, chips, naan, poppadoms, pakora, bhaajis, mango chutney.... 'tis quite the feast. (%deity% knows how many calories are in one though) Not too sure about a burger made with donuts though Edited November 11, 2014 by korifugi
tommej Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Used to do burger + a beer for a fiver at the local hungry horse every now and then. It's pretty regular pub food but was still a nice treat. Not sure about this one though.

Unfortunately, a minority (but not so much now) are stupid enough to keep shovelling this junk into themselves without checking what it's doing to them. Net result - NHS burdened by gigantic wobbling flesh globs. I love food, don't get me wrong, but the amount of fat, sugar and outright numbers of calories in some 'single portion' foods is a joke.
ICTLady Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Totally foresaw this when Tim Hortons merged with Burger King
