Colleague showed me this last night... I'm slightly ashamed to say I am part way there with this (I won't have 3 projectors although that is so so so cool!), but have custom built a tabletop for the X52 and keyboard... ooops!

I look forward to seeing it! I'll eventually look into building some sort of setup, once I get 3 screens.. Never tried using my head tracker on more than one screen before but I think it will be cool.

I think I'd rather invest in Oculos if I am gonna do anything like that. Yep I'll get one sorted this weekend, it is away at the moment!

The multi-dimensional multi-display capacity is amazing (the angled side projections are not stretched, the engine knows the angles they are at)! Brilliant!

It is portable and sized exactly to sit on a fold out table, and clip down. The X52 needed something to attach it to to give it some stability. 1cm MDF, 4cmx2cm baton frame, 2 handles for easy movement! Simple. Wonder if there is a market?!

Well gamma hit this weekend and was great fun to play so far. slightly annoyed my angel was stored 150ly away...... but other than that vast improvements and after a little network trouble early on seems stable and there's plenty of people around to fight along side and defeat when they try to loot me ^^ anyone else had some time in gamma?

Nah, if I get it, it will be after christmas now, I gave the game account to my father in law who bought it for me, liked what he saw when I was live streaming and wanted to try. I may get it for my birthday in February, but until then, I played enough to know I like it, but not enough to justify the cost just yet.

If you clear save and try again it should appear in the same system as you, it was a bug I've been playing and ticketing some pretty hefty bugs.

I took peoples advi e and waiting until release to see hlw it pans out. Did play gamma... but given a wipe is expected before release... not grinding or anything just to lose it and start over.

The system im in... is lovely though.

The Gamma wipe was expected but I don't think they've actually confirmed a release wipe yet, they didn't want there to be one but considering I already made about 20 million credits from a glitch and ticketed it, I think there will be! The executive producer is just saying "probably" when asked about it.

Yeah currency glitches need a reset/clean but other companies have found ways in the past to do this without full wipes.

The gamma wipe WILL undoubtedly happen. I was wondering how people had a Federal Dropship and Anacondas within the first few hours lol.

Just played for a couple of hours and wow its getting polished, no glitches or issues and loading between systems/stations was very very fast.

The way the ship rotates without auto assist makes it unplayable for me.

Plus... ive given up with that game for now. Doesnt seem THAT appealing.

@ZeroHour what's the disk usage like? Seeing as my desktop has a 120GB drive I don't fancy filling that up or thrashing it stupid.

Scan have some SATA 3 64GB SSD's for £35 atm. May be worth the investment if it's a chunky install with lots of disk access going on.

Being honest Elite is very small at < 4GB currently and doesnt tax I/O since its all black space most of the time (and my rig can keep the whole game in ram)
