MartinT Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Windows 10 Mobile update: 10136 is a LOT more stable than 10080 and really worth the effort to upgrade to. However there is an upgrade bug in 10080 meaning that you cannot upgrade it. You must revert to WP8.1 first using the MS recovery tool, reinstall Windows Insider and then go up to 10. Be warned, it takes a while.
flyinghaggis Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Definitely taking shape nicely but then they couldn't really make the UI any worse than Windows 8 Good to see they're offering the option to link into phones other than just Windows Mobile based models (which very few people actually use). Gatt Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Anyone had issue with disappearing network drives from "This PC"? Each time I login they initially show, but then disappear completely, but are still mapped. I've had to pin the to the Quick Access so as not to have to openf rom the explorer bar or Run Command each time.. Very annoying!
MartinT Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Windows 10 Mobile 10149 came in yesterday. Better stability, proper live tiles, smoother animations. Looking good and up to the desktop version now for general all-round usability.

Plenty of other problems, including a regular Shell Infrastructure failure that needs a reboot to clear - but not that one.
MartinT Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Mail has a habit of crashing, but can always be recovered. Annoying, though, because it often closes Spartan (and therefore all your tabs) at the same time.

Arthur Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Anyone had issue with disappearing network drives from "This PC"? Do you still have this issue with Build 10158? Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10158 for PCs 1
synaesthesia Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 LOVING the simple delay timer addon to the snipping tool!
Gatt Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Hmm.. update downloads and preps, configures, laptop reboots, laptop powers off Power On, Windows Flag, laptop powers off x~3 Power On, Windows Reverts changes...
mrbios Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 How long does it normally take till an ISO is available for the new build? I want to have a play around in VM as i had to revert my laptop to 7, but i feel like i might as well wait for 10158 to be available as a clean ISO rather than going 130 > 158.

Depends on how they feel. In theory they only release an ISO when the build is pushed out to the "slow" ring, but there's no real consistency. 1
tech_guy Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Updated my laptop at home last night to the latest build and now I'm stuck with the Windows logo and the roundel going round and round. Anyone else seeing this? Everything was perfect until this happened.
Gatt Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Do you still have this issue with Build 10158? Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10158 for PCs 10158 seems to have resolved the missing network drives issue! Loving the better transparency... 1
Gatt Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Argh! Just spent most of yesterday updating 2 PCs.... Wonder if my laptop will take it this time...
denzal2k4 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Yup 10159 just appeared on mine, lets see how this goes...
Arthur Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 New build already 10159! New login screen in this build. www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-updates-the-login-screen-with-windows-10-build-10159 http://vgy.me/WYF7c7.jpg 1
X-13 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 That is a nice login screen... but not nice enough to warrant changing to a brand new OS when I'm not 100% sure everything will work.
Garacesh Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I like the new wallpaper. Not enough to keep it, because I like my personalisation. But I like it nonetheless.
