Lol... However, a late on Genesis would be the only band I can think of where the drum riser is downstage of other band members.

The Kraftwerk depends on lineup. They used to stand in an V, with the legs towards the audience. This allowed good communication between the band members and allowed the audience to still see them. This is how they stood when I saw them in the 1980s. I think the straight line came in when they ditched the keyboards and started using customised laptops for their performances, which was 2003ish.
