BT Infinity

Just got round to testing the new Infinity line today and its hitting 78Mb, well pleased.

 

I already have 1 infinity which never got over 35Mb so either they have put me in a diferent cab or I am just lucky.

 

All I have to do now is hook up my new SW box to use them both... happy time.

 

PS. Openreach did a perfect job, I know they get bad press and I was nervous they would cut the wrong wire but this time... spot on.

Maybe they have put you on the right product now as there is two options 40Mb download 10Mb upload then there is 80Mb download and 20Mb upload

I have infinity - upgraded from a 10mb (probably about 6), BB in my old home. now hitting 40mb DL! its like christmas!

I've just gone from 1.3Mbps broadband to 35Mbps fibre. Lets just say the difference is certainly noticeable!

Im lucky. No fibre optic but in Kent there is a wireless internet ISP called vFast. When I heard about it I didn't in a million years think internet through the air would work but here I am, 25mb download and 10 upload. Why the country is not covered I just don't know.

I've been waiting a year for fibre to be made active in my area. All the checkers say it is installed, that it is ready and I can order but the BT site says that it will be installed in the next 2-3 months. & has done since last July.

I've been on Fibre for a while now and considering I live in a rural area the speed is great.

They are currently digging the trench in order to run the power to my local infinity cab.

My cabinet has just been upgraded but its not yet live. I should go from 12Mbit download to 76Mbit down. I could even get a 330Mbit FTTP circuit installed if I want

 

Hurry up please Openreach but good job so far!

Our area is one which will be upgraded via government subsidy - under the "Connecting Devon and Somerset" banner. No date scheduled yet for the main town in our district, but lots of random little villages have been upgraded already. Supposedly, we'll be getting it by the end of 2016.

Mine says future exchange, but when you look at the list of exchanges it says year 2014. So fingers crossed it's some time this year
