Room Booking Programs

Hi folks,

 

We’re at the point of giving up with OnlineSchoolBooking.com because we continually have problems getting the service resubscribed.

 

Can anyone recommend a web based room booking system, or equally systems to avoid?

 

(I’ve already spotted RoomBookingSystem.co.uk, as we already use their parents evening system)

 

It needs to be able to cope with timetabled/recurring bookings, a 2 week timetable, around 100 users, and 11 rooms.

We use Booking System Web Site.

 

It doesnt look overly nice...

 

But it is one of the quickest to setup and add bookings too (faster than mrbs)

 

We use it for a 2 week timetable (which is easily setup) and have about 7 rooms on it.

We use the same one as above. Wouldn't mind one that integrates with SIMS timetables though. HAP and Impero booking systems don't cut the mustard for us.

My free and open source room booking system, Classroombookings, might be something to look at as well. It will easily support a recurring bookings and a 2 week timetable.

Room Booking system I use to use. Never faulted it. Great support and just worked, as said before pulled the timetable every night from Sims so no panic with exam timetabling and switching classes.

 

If you already have one of there products I'd ask for a discount. They set it all up as well so sat back, and watched them work there magic.

roombookingsystem.co.uk has been fantastic set it up and not touched since a year and a bit ago had two issues in that time both of which i rang to report and both times they were already aware of the issue and had pushed the fix their end before i even said hello.

We use roombookingsystem.co.uk with sims integration. It does work for importing the timetable but we have issues when cover is involved. For example teacher A books a room for Friday. Teacher A wont be in on Friday so requires cover. The cover manager arranges cover for the lesson and inputs it into sims. When sims synchronises with the room booking system it overwrites the original booking made by teacher A with a cover lesson. Teacher A gets an email from the booking system to say their booking has been deleted. It hasn't really as all that has happened is that a cover lesson has been put in its place. It gets confusing for teachers when they forget what I have told them about how the system works.

Other than that it works very well and teachers love the fact they can book any room that is available and they will get an email confirmation and also an email reminder the day before the booking occurs.

I do get asked by cover supervisor every year if I can "remove all the time tabled classes from the it suites now kids are on exam leave"?

 

Three years of "no, but you can..." And I still get asked, bless em.

We've used onlineschoolbooking.com for years and always found the support to be very good. More to the point, the staff love it and use it.

We've used Devizes School Booking System for several years now - it's basic, and it's internal (but you could make it accessible externally)...

 

We've never had any problems with it, so I've recommended it a few times...

I've looked at that in the past as that's what I wanted to use, but couldn't quite get my head round it lol... #fail (though I admit I didn't try for long)
