Hi, trying to get Office 365 to sync with our AD, I'm running IDfix to find errors and I keep getting topleveldomain errors. Any help on what this means?

I'm not using ADFS, I just want to sync passwords and accounts right now, mSSo might be something we look at later on.

Have you assigned your users a UPN that matches the e-mail suffix of your Office 365 domain

For example if your e-mail domain is StMarys.oxon.sch.uk, have your AD accounts got the same value set for them in the UPN suffix?

Hi, with our current setup we're using "Microsoft for schools" for our student e-mails, this was done really to test the water so linking them to our AD at the time didn't seem needed, when Microsoft then linked these to Office 365 it was then decided to push the use of it so linking our student AD accounts to office 365 became needed. Our students use a different email suffix to the staff.

Example

students = @schoolstudent.net

Staff = @school.net

domain = .school.pri

Hi Churchy,

By any chance have you implemented OU Filtering? If so, by any chance did you de-select to topleveldomain? :-)

Regards,

James.
