mac_shinobi Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Safari is available for Windows?? I never knew this I thought they stopped doing it for Windows.... Oops does it work as well as it does on Mac though? They stopped Safari for windows last time I checked , still on OS X though

Sea Monkey is basically an older looking, stripped version of Firefox. How I remember the days of... Netscape Navigator.... And also anyone use the one that was on 98/ME... it was bundled with MSN ? To be fair on my machine now I have Chrome which is my main browser, I also have Firefox on my machine for testing those sites that have broken but Chrome tells me are working when they are not... and Avant simply because the CCTV system here uses IE for it's web interface and I refuse to use IE - Hate it with a passion. 1

Maybe it was Camino - I remember it had an expose type over view of the websites you had visited, similar to what Safari on Mac used to do

And yet I bet it still ran faster than my hans 10 year old Dell... just for the record this dell had two spiders dead inside the case and so much dust it's unreal, though she refuses to buy a new one. Takes 18minutes to login!

It was popular here for a bit until I realised it essentially was chrome... It came packaged as the way to access a bit of software and we installed it... Mainly it was popular because it allowed access to all sorts of things by circumventing group policy for chrome. I uninstalled it after about 2 days and remade the shortcut to use chrome!

ADMaster Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Ah the browser wars. I’ve used Firefox for years with no plans to switch. I like chrome and it is my preferred browser for the school as we are GAFE school. However firefox and IE are the only browsers with some adons I need. Given that choice I chose Firefox. I biggest complaint about it is the memory usage, but that blog post summed it well. Yes I briefly used that MSN browser, mainly because it was something different.
