I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put this in here but I'm rather excited :)

We've just taken delivery of our new high end carrier grade Cisco 9000 ASR series routers for our new Point of Presence and network upgrade we're going to be installing in the summer.

120Gbit of throughput and full Q in Q along with another pair of top of the range 3000 series Fortigates.

There's also going to be a re-design and upgrade to our Lightspeed cluster too.

Watch out for a big upgrade near you to all my customers on Edugeek :mullet:

I might post a pic if anyone's interested in seeing what about £400k of kit can get you these days :)

Would you like to see my 2x Juniper MX960 and Juniper EX4500 Series Core switches ?? ;) LOL

Thats good kit what you've got ... looks great in the rack too!!

mMmm sexy kit too, why not :)

We took a look at the Junipers too as they were our second choice in the end. Even though on the whole we preferred the Cisco ASR's, Juniper is still very good kit though.

Here's some pics... this is the main core routing environment for the network, we do have a switched platform for all of our Wavelentgth services which is just a switched network which runs on Transmode kit.. but for certain reasons im not going to picture that.

Nice kit.

You've reminded me that there's some maintenance work going on tonight. Lightspeed firmware upgrade?

Yes we're going to v2.7 from v2.4 so it's quite a big upgrade. You'll have received an email with the new feature sets etc

You really need to clean those servers out before they overheat! Looks like they are covered in hair or something. :D

Great pictures anyway. I love seeing pictures of peoples setups.
