laserblazer Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I'm the first into school each morning and when I open up there is a code-locked door from the entrance area into the office. It is now too dark to see the code buttons and the light switch is the other side of the door. I don't want to carry a torch in my pocket along with the other junk, so I asked the Site Manager if he could fit a small light. He suggested using the backlight on my phone. It works a treat even with my ancient Nokia 3310.
witch Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Blimey you get in early - what hours do you work?
mrforgetful Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 My 8310 was the best phone I ever had. If you upgrade to one with a camera flash mate you can often use that as a torch in the options.
plexer Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Or get one of those single button cell led torches that attach to your keys, very handy. Or tell the site manager to stop being a lazy arse and get up earlier to unlock? Ben

mrforgetful Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Bang on? I'm always on time too. Between 8 and 8.30am.
Halfmad Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I start at about 7am most mornings although recently it's been a two hour commute so even though I'm up at 6am I'm not in until nearly 9am!
rhyds Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 8:30 am usually, but on mondays it's assembly day, and guess who has to set up the projector....
Guest aliv25 Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 2 hrs to commute, ouch...8.30-45, no later.
Halfmad Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Up at 6. +2hr commute = 9? I take a while to get going in the morning, usually about 45mins before I'm out the door. The cats wouldn't forgive me if I didn't feed them first.. and the fiancee wouldn't forgive me if I didn't bring her fresh filter coffee in bed!
Scruff Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 hah, I love the complete irrelevance of this entire thread. I read the first post and just thought 'why?'

Joedetic Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I have the components of a beef stew sitting in the fridge that requires making today...I keep meaning to do it but keep settling for beer and a nutella sandwich. How's that for irrelevant

Scruff Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I have a headache from last night's drinking. I also have to drive for 3 hours tonight up to yorkshire so I'm deciding what time I should leave work this evening. Not thought about lunch yet, might drive to get a big mac, I also need a cigarette. Anyone like monkeys ?
