I am not a fan of in app purchases, games should be paid for outright and claiming its free when you have to pay to actually make playing worthwhile is terrible. These types of things either make me uninstall or make me bloody minded enough to complete the game without paying. An example is Plants vs Zombies 2, I would gladly pay for it as I love it but have now set myself the challenge of completing without paying a penny

I am now going to buy the original Dungeon Keeper I think GOG have the rights to it (As with most abandonware-games) Been sorely tempted to get it myself! I don't mind in-app purchases for some things (especially a small token to remove ads, for example - they have to cover expenses somehow right?). But to purposely make an action drag on in order to frustrate you enough to make you pay is a sketchy, horrid tactic.

Only in app purchase I have made was for a pro licence for New Star Soccer which I was totally addicted to for a while. It was 60p and let you transfer clubs and some other stuff. But you could still totally play the game and have great fun without it. I didn't sweat that one

The Missues completed it (well finished the currently available levels) but then she is an absolute demon at that game.

What on earth is 70 quid? I haven't even bothered checking out the cash shop.

They are also releasing pointless updates to try and limit the one star reviews

Garacesh Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Same for Google Play, the amount of positive reviews actually had it on 4 stars last I checked, but the swathe of negative reviews were calling it out, slating EA for their constant money-grubbing and making the game virtually impossible to play without constantly using the cash shop. Not paid for, something far more sinister... "Rate 5 stars and get free gems!" Seriously? That's got to fall under the 'endorsed' ruling, right?
