Does GoG support steam or do all games purchased there have normal downloads?

Only ask as I saw Hammerwatch there (Hammerwatch for download $1.59 - GOG.com) which is awesome, I got through steam, so didn't know if buying stuff there gives steam keys

 

As far as I'm aware it's all just downloads from them, but the downloads are simple, packaged EXEs, without DRM, without guff, it all just works. GOG are thoroughly excellent
