Hi, My name is Stephen and much to the disbelief of my wife, I have decided to let the internet name* my daughter.

Yeah that is an asterisk, Unfortunately internet I know better than to trust you. We will ultimately be making the final decision, Alas my daughter shall not be named WackyTaco692. Sorry guys the wife wouldn't go for a free for all.

You can vote once for as many names as you want. Don't forget to checkout all of the first , middle or even both names for more options.

Silly man...

I worked for a multinational with an office in iran, the sales director was called Suleiman... Our stupid, blonde (and male, I hasten to add) group PA thought that he was actually called Silly man.

For the last few weeks, I've had a children's TV show from the 80's randomly popping in and out of my head from time to time about an artificially grown female batch diminibeing (or a girl to you and me) named Luna... which just so happens to be at number 5.

Amelia is a lovely name, so I'm not surprised that's top. If I ever had a daughter, that would be one I'd greatly consider, except now there'll be lots of Amelia's, I suspect, because of Doctor Who (let me add the disclaimer that I love Doctor Who, but I predict a huge influx of Amelia's due to it)

Surprised Luna isn't higher.. Maybe this poll hasn't reached the Bronies yet.

Oh I hope Luna doesn't get over popular as a name - it's on my 'list' for future use but I don't want my child being muddled up with 7 other Lunas...

Yeah I have a particular girls name I've loved for years (and the missus now she's got past the geek reference :p) - so far, I've never met or even heard of a girl with this name so I'd be gutted if it becomes common in the next couple of years.

That's assuming we have a girl of course - if it's a lad I'm scuppered!

I bet it will end up as Amelia Mae

Quite nice really

I know what you mean about much loved names becoming common. One of my family names is Megan and it used to be so unusual that my sister Megan was the only one in the whole of our senior school. Now it is a bit different, so when it came to naming my daughter I wanted Megan to be in there but not as her only name. I was hoping for Megan-Rose but mrwITch got involved and she is now Sally Megan.

Strangely, it is Sally that is the unusual name - there is no child called Sally in any school I have worked in. :)

We currently have two with Mega as a first name. In the last 15 years, there have been eleven. Scary thought, the plethora of girls named Kylie in the late 80s will now be naming babies of their own!
