SpuffMonkey Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 In these straightened financial times - I thought I might bring to your attention a service that I found out about the other day, that I hadn't heard of before... Lots of Libraries hace signed up to a service delivering free magazines through the Zinio site - you register via your Library card then make a separate Zinio account that is tied to the email you've told them - then you can download and read lots of mags - quite handy if you're a bit skint like me and fancy a look at Computer Shopper or Micro Mart or even Beautiful Kitchens or Classic Rock. You can see whats available from my local library (Northampton) here Return to Library Collection Cracking stuff! 3
sparkeh Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Thanks! Just checked Leicester Library Service and they have it too: https://www.rbdigital.com/leicester/service/zinio/landing? (looks identical to above). Also there is the ebook site: Leicester Digital Library (this site is actually a bit NSFW due to a fruity picture on one of the book covers!). Now, can you resist clicking

elsiegee40 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Kent Libraries doesn't seem to subscribe but it is a memeber of SELMS (South East Library Management System) Borrowers are able to use their existing library cards to access items and services wherever they are, the partner libraries become your own local library thanks to the cutting edge web based system The good news for those of us in Kent is that some of the others in SELMS do have Zinio: Brighton and Hove City Council, Buckinghamshire County Council, Hertfordshire County Council, Kent County Council, London Borough of Camden, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Medway Council, Milton Keynes Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough Borough Council, West Berkshire Council Edited December 16, 2013 by elsiegee40
