Crucial 120GB M500 SSD - 50% Off @ Amazon

I would say it'll be good to the upcoming PS4... but I'm not actually sure.

Comes with a 9.5 adapter, so it should fit. But it has hardware encryption so it could refuse to work...

If only the 960GB version wasn't so expensive...

Forgot PS4 has a standard 2.5" drive.

Great Find Prawns, wonder if they do the 240gb model or a 240gb Samsung Pro 840 series for half price ?

It's not half price.

It's 50% off the RRP, which they DON'T sell it at. It has 37% off by default.

LOL Prawns has stuck hasn't it! That's a half decent price for a nightmare of a drive. No end of troubles with Crucial M500s our end. Can't beat a Kingston V300 120GB SSD for £66 inc VAT.

Yes, Yes it has !!

In that case will stick with either a Samsung 840 Pro or possibly an OWC Drive ? That or an Intel one ?

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the Samsungs on the Black Friday deals too. I have an 840 Pro and it is the best bit of kit I've ever had. If I can get another one or two, I'll be a happy man. :)

I was gonna say, these SSD's are horrible.

Very unreliable.

There is a reason they are on sale!!

Me too. :)

I picked up three 256GB Samsung 830's in one of Amazon's flash sales last year. I wouldn't mind an 840 Pro for £100 or so! :D

840 Pro fan here. I'm my PC at home, at work, home laptop, work laptop. Have had SSDs from the old OCZ 64GB drives and none of them are as good as the Samsung 840s.

Yep have an 840 in my MacBook - been great.

After 3 failed drives at work within 2 months there is a reason the crucial ones are cheap. Thankfully we make everyone save everything to the servers and have exchange so nothing was lost, but still a massive hassle.
