Because it takes so much skill to copy someone elses build.

 

The metagame [as it is] needs to die, tbh. It's just "which 6/3 out this small group do you have?" The match is decided before its even started.

 

 

Talonflame is cool. Flame armour and fly means I don't loose a spot when breeding.

 

The fake-raichu is cute. [Not as cute as the fairy gym girls, though...]

 

Delphox is awesome, even though it sounds like it's shouting "WHAT THE [CENSORED]" when it comes out.

Ah, but have you come across Geninja's hidden ability 'Protean' yet? You thought Greninja was good before, but 'Protean' takes it to a whole new level. I've just managed to get someone to trade me one with all perfect IVs today. Now this is 7 kinds of awesome it changes it's type according which move its using so every move becomes a STAB move, and of course you can use it strategically to make your enemies attack less effective. It's insane!

I've just managed to get someone to trade me one with all perfect IVs today. Now this is 7 kinds of awesome it changes it's type according which move its using so every move becomes a STAB move, and of course you can use it strategically to make your enemies attack less effective. It's insane!

 

I've heard about it... I haven't got safari yet to get one.

 

I wish hidden abilities were possible without safari...

It can be quite tricky getting what you want from the Friend Safari, obviously you need to add a friend to your 3DS Friends list who's got the 'mon you want in the first place, but if you want the hidden ability they have to be online at the same time as you catch it. But don't worry I can certainly breed a Protean Froakie for you if you want one.

I'm trying to breed the 'perfect' Charmander.. So far I have two with 3 perfect IV's (S.Atk, Atk, Def on one and Atk, Def and S. Def on the other)

It's rather difficult to get one with 4 IV's. I'm having no such luck with a Destiny Knot + Brace

I have/had a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

 

I think you need to do it in a specific order to end up with 4/5/6 prefect ivs.

Hasty is best for either a physical or special attacker and with a maximum IV investment you get a nice fast speed of 377 @ lvl 100 (Base Spd: 122!!!), then you can choose where to put the rest of the IVs into, Attack or Special Attack, or wherever your choice. If you don't like the nature you can always breed in another, but I think Hasty is the best nature for a Greninja. I'm planning to train up a special attacker with Hydo-Pump/Scald, Icebeam, Extrasensory and Darkpulse (I could use Grass Knot in there to take out other water types, but I've found it to be largely ineffective - but this move set gives excellent coverage/defence and an immunity to Psychic).

Erm, but a Ditto won't breed with a Ditto.

 

 

 

But as in this guide, you can get several Dittos with 2 perfect IVs from the Friend Safari *(or 'MY' Friend Safari even as I have Dittos)*. I have caught a Ditto each with a perfect IV in a stat, I also have a shed load of Dittos with different natures.

Yeah, I don't have a perfect IV ditto and none of my friends got Ditto's in their safaris. I have a japanese ditto with perfect Atk/Def, though, which I used to start off breeding. Currently I'm trying to breed the 2 charmanders together to get a 31 Atk/Def/S.Atk/S.Def Charmander. Hopefully I can make a breeding pair, and then catch a Spd/HP Charmeleon from my friends safari (She has Charmeleon and Magmar.. Very useful!)

4 ivs is a few hours [like 2 or 3]

5 ivs is longer [5 to 6 hours possibly]

6 ivs... could never happen.

It took me about 5 minutes to get one on White 2. I went to a site that distributes 'mon. Changed the DNS settings on my 3DS to the IP specified, went to receive WFC mystery gift. And voila a Shiny Ditto with Perfect IVs. Hacked of course, but handy none the less and I don't feel like I've cheated the game too much - ironically I've never got around to using it. I would bring it over to X but I don't think it would survive the PokéTransfer service (when it's opened) as it will filter for fakes and not let them be transferred.

True, but perfect ivs+shiny IS possible.

 

So as long as it has the right moves and ability it should be fine.

 

It'll only filter out things like wondertomb and OHKO magicarp.

I'm not sure that I can be too fussed about going to all that effort to breed a 'mon with perfect IVs, so long as it has perfection in the IVs that I need I'm happy tbh. The rest I'll just have to put down to my skill in battling - perfect IVs doesn't mean you'll win every time. I do have an almost perfect Greninja given to me (as a froakie) only the HP stat has 29 IVs, the rest have 31. I've trained it up as a special attacker, but I'm probably going to reverse it into a physical attacker soon. I've nearly got all the stat modifying berries (to reduce stats).

Yuh, I didn't mean that (I was just editing it). What I mean is I'll probably make it a mixed attacker and set it up as a support 'mon for a doubles team. I'd like to have a play with Fire Pledge on a Blaziken and Water Pledge on Greninja. Greni also has access to a fantastic move which essentially is a double protect against attacks (not statuses) call Mat Block. That will give Blaizen a chance to Swords Dance up and then Speed Boost and sweep away. I'd like to have a go at playing around with some new moves and I've always been itching to have a go with the Fire/Water/Grass pledge combos.

I wonder if it has come about by folks attempting to 'clone' via wonder trade, who knows. I dunno, but given the rarity of this glitch I don't think it'll stop me from wonder trading on the rare occasion I do.

 

 

Furthermore it appears that this is most probably caused by a hardware fault causing file corruption such as a degrading SSD than the Wonder Trade system itself. But it remains to be seen.
