The internet isnt working.......

Just had a teacher say the internet isnt working, I knew the problem wasnt the internet and it was Google instead.

 

Told the teacher to use another search engine and they asked "whats that?"

 

Sometimes I do wonder about them.

I had someone say they "couldn't get on Google" (meaning the Internet) and it transpired that they had somehow set the "This page cannot be displayed" page as their homepage.

I sent an email to our SMT about a group of older computers being very slow and need replacing. Reply back from 1 saying that there was a problem with the internet in the area and when that was fixed the computers would be quicker. I sent a brief reply stating that internet speed is not the same as computer speed.

Our finance officer recently had a new PC and asked if she had to turn it off at the end of the day.

"That might be a good idea!" I said

"Oh OK!" came the reply

"... only, if I don't turn that or in the morning [pointing to the old PC], i can't see anything on the screen!"
