bushby Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have just reliesed that i do a lot of stupid things when no one is about. like just now it was me running up the stairs to the office like a monkey. thats only today other ones are office chair rowing. what things do you do?
EvLPhenom Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Spinning around on the office chair is always good...until someone walks in lol
Sirbendy Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 In the hols, me in the school wheelchair, junior tech on my lap, teaching and terrifying him in the arts of high-speed wheelchair manouvering. Sign of spending my youth in one, I guess..
LosOjos Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 In the hols, me in the school wheelchair, junior tech on my lap, Ooo err!
X-13 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) Ooo err! I second this. And I'll throw in a George Takei "oh my!" Edited September 27, 2013 by X-13
korifugi Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Surfing a sack truck down the corridor - but that stopped quickly when I almost ran the head over.
jinnantonnixx Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I second this. And I'll throw in a George Takei "oh my!" I third this.
jinnantonnixx Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Motion passed. That'll be the All-Bran.
witch Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Spinning around in the chair - yeh, do that every day. Sometimes dance across the school hall to the imagined strains of "Boogie Nights" No, I don't know why either...
hardtailstar Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I remove stuff from the other desk in the office so when the bursar comes back she gets confused to where they have gone.
theriver Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I am not admitting to anything, but school corridors, holidays and rollerblades were made for each other.
Chris_Cook Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Office Ping Pong was great fun at the end of last term. No idea where the ping pong ball came from. Or where it ended up after we pelted the ball round the room as hard as we could with various improvised bats.
plexer Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I can often be seen cycling around site with a cup of tea in hand. Ben
newpersn Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Riding round site on a tractor (little one your spose to cut grass with.
twin--turbo Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) We used to do indoor ParCout, but diving off desks and doing a roll usualy ended in pain. We used to do Hard Disk Platter Spinning ( spare platters blue tacked to a drive spindle and powered on) 15K drives are the best. The best was "TUB of screws" where a tub of screws (PC case/drive etc) would be strategicaly placed on a colleaugs chair/desk/etc so that it will fall of at the slightest movement. But the last time We did it , the tub was found next morning on the centre of the desk. The cleaner had falen prey of our set up (OOOPS). We ocasionaly just forgo the hiding element and just tiped it over someones desk, or better still someone. they were the fun times in our office whent we needed to keep our spirits up . TechieWils Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Apart from the usual singing at the top of my voice, drumming on everything I walk past and communicating with the other tech, data manager or site team by bellowing down the empty corridors (oddly satisfying echo). We've played catch with stress ball, slid down the banisters and had an impromptu curling session with open corridor doors, shiny floor and keys on a lanyard... I think I'm crazy
TheCrust Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Surfing a sack truck down the corridor - but that stopped quickly when I almost ran the head over. You forgot playing Jenga with 250 empty laptop boxes...
newpersn Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 You forgot playing Jenga with 250 empty laptop boxes... Ill match you. Jenga with 30 pc base units?
bushby Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 I am not admitting to anything, but school corridors, holidays and rollerblades were made for each other. im surprised that i haven't done this. my online name for game is Rollerjames, i play ice hockey and use to be a captain of a roller hockey team. but when i still worked at my old place i would rollerskate to the site from my house ( the kids there called the cool tech / the one who roller skates in. but ego was always hurt when i tripped up on the down hill section of the trip)
