Best Time Of The Year.

Got me thinking I love time from September through to December. In October you have Halloween lots of fun.

 

Then in November it is firework night and locally we have the fair (http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/image_galleries/loughborough_fair_2006_gallery.shtml).

 

Once that has happened you know Christmas is on it's way and that means one thing Charlie Brown Christmas and the local lions bring santa around on a sleigh touring the whole village for kids (and grownup's as well).

 

So what is your fav time of year...

Autumn I'm not overly-enthusiastic at christmas time (bah humbug yes! 8)) and spring/summer aren't too bad except when it's too hot

Autumn/ October for me def - juss love it - but I like the sunshine too **it makes me happy**

I like nice snowy crisp winter days, the views from the school campus are amazing, the joys of Yorkshire is all I can say, shame the roads become more dangerous than playing with petrol and matches in the same hands at the same time.

 

But I do also like the sunshine, I also like January becuase of BETT and the oooh aint that pritty I can do lots of (hehe only remembered that as i've just applied for my BETT pass as the email came out yesterday - hint hint guys surely time to change the BETT forum over to 2008)

Has to be a bit later on than this for me, when it gets a little chilly outside, and when you leave the house a 07:00 no one is around, the sun is shining etc. Then at half term you can enjoy the lunch time sun because no kids are smoking behind your office, and no staff are asking for things to be done yesterday.

I do enjoy the Autumn too, when the leaves are changing colour and the early morning air is cold & crisp on a clear day.....

Those few minutes at the end of summer term, when you've just got home, got changed and sat on the sofa ready for 6 weeks hols. (If you're term-time only, that is).

Spring for me - I love everything growing and blossoming, and my favourite flowers come out in spring and early summer.

Walking the dog at 6am on a spring morning has to be one of the best times of the year.

The best time for me is the October half-term. You have ironed out any problems that were left over from summer (normally user based issues such as people not handing software over to you on the training day, software that they wanted installed over the summer and hadn't even told you they had bought, it is the wrong version and the licence is all wrong too ... so by the time you have ordered the right version and take the cost out of *their* budget and not yours you can install it over half-term), you have a new image or two to deploy but you have managed to get the images prepared on machines beforehand and you can roll it out at leisure.

 

You might be able to take a few days off ... you might be able to catch up with NMs/techies at other schools ... you might even have a bit of training too ... perhaps go out for a meal and a drink.

 

Actually ... you can do all of that this half-term by coming to the EduGeek Midlands 2007 Conference to be held in Corby.
