CAM Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) I logged in this morning to find the following: Hovering over them says AJAX Enabled. Are they a bug or intended because (and no offence meant) they look really nasty and tacky in the topics list. They also make the topics really hard to read with a massive red LIVE in the middle disrupting flow. Edited July 10, 2013 by ZeroHour

Popular Post CAM Posted July 10, 2013 Author Popular Post Posted July 10, 2013 I think I found out why! Angelfire in £32 million Tech Site Purchase Angelfire recently announced a £32 million acquisition of education technical support forum EduGeek after a prolonged bidding war against it's arch rival Geocities. Bidding started at a cool £1 million to take over the growing support forum known for providing assistance to education specialists across the globe. Angelfire also fought off close bids from MySpace but Angelfire said that the large red letters in a recent update fitted their portfolio perfectly, making them determined to bring the site under their wing. CEO of Angelfire Jacquie King declared "This will be an excellent partnership to bring Angelfire and our unique design back to the forefront of the Internet." CEO of Edugeek, Chris Byers, chipped in "This will be a great time for Edugeek and it's members. Me and Shaun saw the letters as we walked down a street in Glasgow and thought they would fit perfectly with the site theme. It attracted some very high value investors as a result. I don't have time to stop just yet though, head office need me to add the final touches to this Javascript for a fantastic new pointer trail. We will be running some competitions in the near future though for designing some fantastic GIF pop-up images as part of Angelfire's rebranding of the site." It is understood that long term plans will involves a rewards system for members once the acquisition is complete and EduGeek appears on the stock market. "We will have great opportunities for members to participate in the transition" said Mr Byers. "Eventually we will allow members to buy shares and cash them in later on for reputation points. Maybe even add a new tooltip for their new animated rank icons beyond the current ooh!" 5
