I have been using a Logitech MX 1000 laser now for 9 years, and the battery has got to the stage where it only holds enough charge for about a week. So, its time for it to be retired.

Can anyone recommend me a replacement. It needs to be wireless. Also, ideally, I would like to match it to a new wireless keyboard. The keyboard needs to take up as little space as possible (as little plastics and the like around the actual keyboard bit as possible).

Quite limited with wireless gaming mice, but i'd agree with the Logitech G700. If anything purely because if anything goes wrong with it logitechs tech support are awesome.

I always advise people against razer too...they're like the apple of gaming peripherals. Overpriced and overhyped.

Think I'm going to go with the G700s. My experience of Logitech is that their stuff is first class and I like the wireless/wired setup - no more needing an emergency backup mouse should my main one run out of power.

MX1000 is an awesome piece of kit. If mine died, I'd just get another - the first had to go back under warranty and the charger PSU died on this one, but the mouse itself is just ace. So - stick with Logitech IME! As for keyboard, check out the Saitek Eclipse. Fairly simple and sleek, the wrist rest comes off if needed too, and takes a hammering!
